The Cornell note taking strategy is a very simple way of taking notes. In Mr. Sader’s words, “the Cornell note taking method is on the front of every loose leaf package.” I found that to be a false statement.
The main parts of taking these notes are:
- spliting the paper into thirds vertically
- on the first third on the left, you take your “key” or main ideas
- on the other two sections you use that space for the research or answers for the idea on the left
- you review and clarify and can use for studying
