The Happy Life
What people think is happy can be different from each other most the time. Happiness is something that can’t be measured from outside sources. It can be precious to individuals or people will take it for granted. Sometimes there is nothing some people are able to do about happiness. This happiness is an incredible feeling, so much so that people use it to express their art. Whether it be poetry, songs, paintings, etc it is usually expressed.
In both poems called The Chimney Sweeper by the poet William Blake, it describes how these kids come from a miserable life and how they can acquire the happiness they desperately want. It feels like that anyway. So Blake is a romanticist in the sense that there is no rhythm or a basic arrangement that you would find in classicalist poems. The only patte
rn that could have been seen is the story of those poems.
Happiness in this poem is not real. It only describes the joy of being happy as something that is achievable but not in the sense that it is right in front of them to grab. It brougt joy to them when they found out it will not always be so miserable. Having the hope that happiness is the end result of anyone’s suffering is what is best for those who have anything like that. And hope is a powerful thing which can change almost anything.
The kids in these poems don’t have anything going for them. Like children from third world countries where they have to work all day for their family to get by the next day. The chimney sweepers had to work all day to get themselves by. Working is for something is great and all but working all day so they can survive the next isn’t. It sounds cruel and horrible.
People do have the right to work so they can survive but not to the point where if they don’t work for a day or two could cost them their lives. That is not right by any standards. Being very biased but it is still bad conditions. They not only work all day for themselves but sometimes for their own family. Which is ok but it isn’t right for children to support their family.

The Story of Bobby
There was this 18 year old who we will call Bobby. He was just an average dude. Nothing too special about him. He wasn’t that tall, he had brown hair and eyes like everyone else, average built too. He wasn’t someone who stood out but he wasn’t isolated from the world either. He did what most 18 year olds do. hang out with his friends, homework, sports and planning for his future. He was also close to his family. His father always had time for him and hi siblings and his mother was kind and everyone who knew her knew she couldn’t hurt a fly. His younger brother and sister could have been pests but all in all they were good kids most of the time. Everyone did things together on a regular business. The family was happy and most of all the Bobby was happy. That was until the incident.
There was this thief who was wanted by the police. He went into places, steal their stuff and destroy anything that was breakable. Anyway when the Bobby was out with his friends one night with his family at home and the thief went into his house to do what thieves do. But when he found the rest of the family there he panicked and killed them all then ran away. By the time Bobby came back home the police was already there. When he asked what happened to his family one of the police officers, whose name i don’t remember, told him the bad news. thats when everything changed for him. The emotional trauma that he suffered during this time was almost unbearable to bear.
After that night Bobby life changed. He stopped hanging out with his friends, his grades where slipping and he quit the sport team. It was a terrible sight. He didn’t want anyone to see him and he barely showed up to his school. I don’t think i have to tell you about his plans for the future are non-existent but yeh it is. It was clear that Bobby had gone into a deep depression. His friends tried to help him but he just shut the door, sometimes not even answering it. When he did go out side he was so quiet and well almost the opposite. It was getting to the point where his friends was thinking of giving up. The worst part is that he wouldn’t talk about anything related to his family. No one knew what to do with him. They tried their hardest to get him to come to school.
Once he started going back to school it got a little better for him and his friends. He was beginning to get better grades but as far as talking about anything or going anywhere else it was the same. Finally the principal of his school sent him to the counselor. The counselor didn’t say much to him and vice versa. For the first few sessions the room they where in was quiet except when the councilor asked him about his day. But whatever that technique was doing it seemed to be working. Bobby’s life was getting better. In fact he was getting back to sports and starting to hang out with his friends.
Then he was beginning to open up to the councilor about his feelings towards his family. It wasn’t much because of how much it hurt but it was more then he ever told anyone else. Soon he began opening up more and more. Bobby actually was beginning to come back to normal but he will never be the same. No one around him will ever be the same. It is pretty horrific when someone you know dies and even though Bobby’s story had a good ending doesn’t mean that it always will. So if this ever happens to you or someone you know don’t give up.

Rights and responsibilities
People have rights, but not everyone has the same rights. We should according to the Catholic Social teachings have the right to live and the necessities of life. Not everyone does though. There is women in the middle east that don’t have the same rights as the men. As well the criminals have more rights then the homeless in new york city. There is also people who have no food or shelter and die way to young. Why is it like this. Why is it that people have so much while others have nothing. It isn’t fair.
There is a lot of people who try to help out those who have no rights. But most people aren’t even aware of the extent of people dying that they could save. Now I sound like one of those people from those commercials. Anyway the point is that people can be blind to those suffering around them. It isn’t hard to help others out it is just easier not to. Which means we are lazy. Whats worse is that it is clearly in our rights to do this. It isn’t like I want to be like that and most of the time I don’t but occasionally I do the lazy something.
What people really don’t understand is that the mean and cruelty of the world starts with someone being picked on or bullied. That is wrong and against the rights people have for themselves. These people are responsible for the hatred and malevolence against the world. While they don’t mean that it is what it is. People need caring in the world. It is what makes it what it is.

My Path
The person who I think that I think I am becoming is a person of good nature and a follower of a personal belief. It is, in my opinion, imperative that I follow this path with the consequences, good or bad, that come with it. If people have a disagreement with this choice I really don’t care. There is no way to know where it will take me but then again no one really knows what fate will lead us. I will take this road with honor in the choices I think is right.
This path, as I call it, is the path/ journey that I will call as my own and I will shape it in my choices fate will set out for me. I don’t care if people will take similar paths or ignores it I will do what I can to follow it. I do not know if this path is successful or a plain failure but it doesn’t matter to me. As long as I am happy and unhurt I will not change my mind.
I just want to find what makes me happy and that is what I want to become, a person who is happy with what is happening to me and what is around me will define this happiness I just need to find it. That is what I wish to be but I will not know until I find what makes me truly at peace and until that happens I won’t be happy and by happy I mean without points where nothing in my life seems important enough to care about. I am not saying that everything in my life is unimportant it’s just that sometimes it can be very hard to care about it.

Innocent
Innocent is by a band called My Lady Peace. This is part of the second Chorus:
You’ll stand up on your own,
you’ll stand up on your own
Yeah Remember losing hope,
Remember feeling low,
Remember all the feelings
and the day they stopped
We are, We are all innocent,
we are all innocent
This song communicates the feeling of depression and has gives a hope of feeling happy and calmness when anyone hears the lyrics. The song sounds personal to the writer and the little scenarios that he uses. If you get into the lyrics then it would feel personal to the listener too. This was probably a hard song to write too because it sounds so personal. Everytime you hear it a feeling will well up and make everything feel better even for a bit. There is something about the symphony of the music that gets me feel better.
Other beliefs I think could be expressed through songs is Jealousy, sadness, hatred, anger, truth, and others that I can’t think of right now. These are powerful emotions that could be inspiration to make good songs. People love hearing songs with these emotions as well as love and happiness that people uses these to to make their songs.

Why Whine and Snivel
Snivel means to whine and complain tearfully so I think that Herman Melville means that our society will do that if we don’t get what we want. We will complain on something that has nothing to complain about. We will argue, pout, and yell until we get our way. People will do almost anything to get their way even if their rules and regulations they will not stop until they get their way. Now this is what I think he means in a extreme way.
This of course doesn’t apply to everyone I know or seen. These people want to make others as happy or more than what they feel. Sometimes they want to atone for what the did in the past or they were raised to do good to others by their religion or upbringing.
There should be no reason to whine and complain about our lives. We have it good most of the time, except for those few moments is life that is depressing and upsetting to those who were involved with that “scene” of that moment. People think they are more important than everyone else so their personal lives matters more. That way they think that everyone should help them at a whim.
There is also those who show a little bit of each life style. They could help others while complaining about everything and expect others to help them anytime they need it. People are like this in some ways more than others and is most common to find. Very few people will be just one of these traits even though you see those attributes everywhere around you. If you look more closely you will find different characteristics of that person. Many of other characteristics can be found in almost every person on this planet.
Any way the conclusion is that people are different personalities but they exist in this world of snivelization. Most like to get there own way sometimes even if they hurt others on the way. This doesn’t mean that there isn’t people who will in some way or other make others happy. Just look closely enough you will see themselves.

The battle that made the movies
Battle of Passchendaele is a known for the struggle for power against German soldiers and a thick muddy terrain. They took it eventually but with half a million casualties. With the most up there with most lives lost in WWI. They gained the high ground that kept them from gaining any power that was needed for other battles later on.

The Allies struggled and struggled against a higher power to gain that power. The ladders and planks that helped the soldiers to get across the mud was continuously attacked by the Germans. They were fighting against a high ground that made it almost impossible to gains that advantage they need to win. The people that fought it made every effort possible to win.
Yet people went on through all that death and mayhem and eventually they won passchendaele with much effort but they had done it after all that. The canadians took it in 3 months and kept it for a long time. It was a major victory on the Allies side.

The Utopia of the Truman Show
Truman is a movie that expresses many questions and thoughts of society and how they will take it. Utopia, containment, media, and other subjects like that are just some of those questions. People ask these questions but get no answers or many individual answers. Either way it doesn’t help anyone who wants to know.

Utopia is the ultimate goal of the human race but what exactly is Utopia. Is it the happiness of others or our personal selves. Though what would make us happy items or relationships with others. Some say utopia is the point where we can’t achieve anything more. Except that people will not endorse this completely without trying to exceed that goal and then what happens. Do we accept that we can’t or do we go beyond that goal?
The media has a controlling influence on our lives and we need to get away from it. That is what people feel about television that would brainwash and control our lives. I don’t think that it will control our lives but I do think that we need to cut down tv just a bit to exceed. Though people do watch too much television that is there choice not others.
There are others who think that utopia means containment. What I mean is people who are kept happy and will not try any more to gain a goal in a certain area usually in a wall. One thing these people did not expect is the human nature to surpass and expand. The will of man will not be contained by anything unless they are conditioned before birth. Like in Brave New World there were some who even though they were conditioned they will have some signs of free will.
Though people want utopia some ideas of it will not allow the human will to be free and lively. They will not be able to do some of the activities that they want. I would think Utopia would be the freedom to do anything but nobody would do anything that would harm anyone in anyway.
