IMG_0246In November 2007 St. Jerome’s School invited Wayne Lee to come to our school and perform a hypnotist show for our school. I had never seen anyone get hypnotized before so I found this an exiting experience. Wayne Lee brought up students to the front and started the show. Some students immediately were hypnotized while others were more difficult to put in the trance. Dancing in front of the school, singing and so many other crazy moves make the show absolutely hilarious. A teacher in the audience who had been hypnotized in the past found himself hypnotized soon into the show.

Wayne Lee was not only a wonderful entertainer but he also had an amazing message. The entire shows message was that you do anything. If you believe and think that dancing in front of the entire school is embarrassing you won’t do it. If someone else tells you to dance while you are hypnotized it’s not stupid and you do it. Whatever you believe you can do you can. This is an incredibly strong message that children in the world really need to hear. I found Wayne Lee’s show to be very entertaining and powerful and enjoyed it immensely.

Obese children will die younger than their parents

Twenty-five per cent of Canadians ages two- seventeen are over weight or obese. Canada now has so many fast food restaurants and junk foods that people are not eating, as they should. Physical activity is no longer important and this is leading to health problems and early deaths. Organizations are now working hard to stop the trend toward increasing obesity levels among Canadian children by 2010 and decrease the levels by at least 25 per cent by 2020.

I think healthy eating and exercise are the two most important ways to live a good life. Fast food restaurants should be closed down or made much, much healthier so we can solve this problem. Being healthy not only helps your health but also gives you self-confidence and a love for life. Being barbie girl skinny is not healthy either I feel that a good healthy body is wonderful no matter what size you end up.

For the first time ever surveys are coming out saying that children will die before their parents. This is a terrible and unnatural occurrence that we need to change as fast as possible. No parent deserves to see his or her child die before him or her and the government is working hard for an answer to this problem.

Boy’s vacuum cleaner identification expertise turns him into budding TV star

Out of all the chores I’ve had to do in my household vacuuming has never been my favorite. I do agree that a vacuum cleaner is a fabulous invention, which has helped majorly to keep homes spotless. Other than that advantage I have never heard of anyone interested in a vacuum cleaner to a fuller extension.

VacuumsKyle Krichbaum is a 12-year-old boy that is interested in vacuum cleaners to that fuller extension. He has collected 150 vacuum cleaners and can identify each one from just their sound. I would have to say that this is a strange but is definetly a talent. Kyle has been to Hollywood taping a game-show pilot where he had to compete against other contestants blindfolded and correctly identify vacuum models.

As a child Kyle would follow his parents around as they vacuumed. I find this incredibly strange considering children are usually afraid or dislike loud noices and run the other way when a vacuum cleaner is on. Like any parent Kyle’s mother and father thought he would grow out of his interest but the older he got the stronger his interest became. Kyle has now been invited to appear on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno”, and has a goal to own his very own vacuum shop.
