Finally, some one in the post-secondary world has realized the differing needs of students in different departments. The Arts Faculty at the University of Alberta has changed its requirements that will come into effect for the fall of 2007.
Under the new requirements students will be about to apply without having Pure Math 30 or a 30 Level Science. This does not apply to the Business department (or majors in Economics or Psychology) but it does allow students who are strong in arts but may be weak in the science/math areas!
Did I say, “Wow!”?

The Globe and Mail newspaper has created a new service free of charge. It also you to search for universities across Canada by criteria you have selected. You can also limit the search to parts of the country of even to a specific city. The website requires you to sign in first.

It is not really much different than MacLean’s magazine’s service that allows you to rank the universities across Canada based on what you think are important things.
