Just as the University of Alberta has changed its admission requirements for the Bachelor of Arts, Red Deer College has as well. For the Fall of 2007, students no longer need to have Math Pure 30 or a second language also some courses within the B.A. program may require them. So check.
Red Deer College advises students to make sure that their transfer destination requires Math P30 or a second language. Also, remember this is only for the Arts program and not other degrees at the college.

EF Educational Tours is hosting an essay contest for high school students. The prize is a 10 - day expenses paid tour of Europe in the summer. The application must be submitted by Feb. 28th. Applications can be downloaded from the website eftours.ca/globalcitizen.

University of Alberta is offering an online course for students already registered for their first year. It is offered through their online programs and hopes to ease the transition from high school to university. It takes about 10 hours to complete.
There is a cost involved: $30. It will be available to students attending in the fall of 2007 by March 15th.

This post is not about the old television show of the mid-sixties. Alberta Sustainable Resource Development is accepting positions in its Jr. Forest Ranger program. The deadline is April 1, 2007. It is a seven - week summer work experience.
