These awards and scholarships are given to students based primarily on marks.

• Dr. Ernest & Minnie Mehl Scholarship deadline is June 1st
• Premiers Citizenship Award – must be nominated by June 15th
• Grade 11 Merit Award for students planning to attend the University of Lethbridge – deadline is June 30.
• Garfield Weston Merit Scholarship – applications must be received by mid-April
• Millennium Excellence Award Program – deadline is Dec. 15th
• Academic Excellence award for students going to University of Alberta and in Grade 11 – deadline is June 15.
• University of Alberta has two awards for Grade 12 students:
  • Leadership Awards – deadline is March 15
  • Scholastic Distinction for students with average of 95% or better – schools must nominate by March 1
• Red Deer College Entrance Awards – deadline is March 31 for students planning to attend this college
