Macbeth has went through many changes throughout this play. He has changed from a man that didn’t make his own decisions and didn’t follow his conscience, he always did what others had told him and now he’s become king. Every since he became the king he always wanted to kill someone because he was afraid they would take over his position. Macbeth used to be the warrior that cut people from the navs to the chops and now he’s considered to be fiend of Scotland. Macduff’s description fits well with Macbeth because he turned into the wicked king of Scotland. He’s never thinking about what’s best for him or what is best for his family its all about him and he can do whatever pleases him. After Macbeth got a feeling of killing people he just couldn’t stop. The wickedness of the witches has made Macbeth an evil king. I don’t think his conscience every caught up with him because he just wanted to continue being king and raining over the land. Macbeth would have had a chance of being a good person but ever since he murdered Duncan and became king he changed morally, into the fiend of Scotland.

The Macbeths used to be really close together when they were planning the killing of King Duncan. Lady Macbeth seemed to make the most decisions for the killing, and Macbeth did the killing. In Act 3, now that Macbeth is king he is following his own conscience and making his own decisions now. He is passing his decisions on what he wants to do not what lady macbeth wants. It seems the Macbeths are drifting farther and farther away from each other. They don’t realize it but every since Macbeth has been making his own decisions he’s leaving Lady Macbeth out of everything. She had no part of killing Banquo and felt that he shouldn’t of done it. Lady Macbeth says Macbeth is unmanned in folly meaning she thinks he’s not a man and can’t pull his own weight. They are always arguing about the decisions Macbeth has been making lately and how Lady Macbeth doesn’t feel they are always the right things to do. As a marriage counsellor I would suggest that they make decisions based on what both of them think. They should live more of a married couple then king and queen. I think if they had kids there relationship would be more together. They would have a baby to look after rather then planning to kill people they fear of taking their ranks.

Donalbain,
We have both lost a loved one, a father, king of Scotland, and the biggest role model in our lives. This is going to change our lives because we will have nobody to look up to and to look after us, were on our own. I have a sick feeling that whomever killed our father will not be satisfied until they kill us both. I also feel that everyone may be putting the death of our father on us. I shall shift away to England on Duncan’s horse. I’m scared now that the Prince of Cawdor might have the throne in his hands. I wish I could tell you what is going to happen to us. I value my life much more then becoming king of Scotland and would rather live then be killed. We must be spread apart, its something we have to do. I to England and you to Ireland. What we can hope for is, nobody finds us together, or tries to kill us. We shall have to visit our father in Colme-kill alas. No one shall know of our disappearance.
Your direst brother,
Malcolm

First, as I am his kinsman and his subject, strong both against the deed. Then, as his host, who should against his murderer shut the door are two significant reasons of why Macbeth shouldn’t kill Duncan. Macbeth is having so much trouble deciding if he kills Duncan or not. Macbeth is used to listening to everyone else and taking orders from the king and rarely following his inner thoughts and taking orders from himself. If Macbeth decided to kill King Duncan, Macbeth would be honored with the sword of Duncan and become king of Scotland. He is his kinsman and subject and is worried about the deep damnation he will feel after his death and Duncan has honored Macbeth because he has become thane of Cawdor, killed Macdonwald and made the Norwegians flee. Though there are many reasons for not killing Duncan there are many more reasons to kill him. Macbeth wants to be king and so does his wife. Since Macbeth is loyal and loves Lady Macbeth that’s enough reason to kill Duncan and take over his throne.

Family should be a persons first responsibility. Having and belonging to a family has to be the greatest gift I’ve ever received. When we go out camping to do family activities its only the family that goes. No bringing a friend along, just the family. Every distant family member that I have may or may never be able to see me again, but the times I had with them were adventurous. Nothing better then spending the day at Niagara Falls with my aunt and uncle from Ottawa. The scene of a life time that some may not be able to experience during their life time. Thankfully I got an image of Niagara Falls in my mind thanks to my family. Any time I get to spend time with my aunts, uncles, and cousins from England or Ottawa im always I’ll take it. Its a gift when they come down to visit and spend time with us. Cherishyour family is very important and spending time with them is valuable because they won’t be here forever.
Spending time with your family a gift. Family members help me guide myself to become a better person. They teach me the roles, morals and values I should be carrying on for the family. Family morals and values wouldn’t stick within the family if they weren’t passed down. Thats why a family should be the first responsibility of every human. They help guide you and help you achieve the goals in life, they comfort you, and help you when your feeling down.

Our actions and decisions will have affects on our future. Conformity is what influences you to change your personal beliefs, morals and values and influences your actions. The destination of your life or the decisions you make is in the hands of the majority groups and the popular kids. What makes them so much better then everyone else? and who says they get to control the personality of someone else? Going to high school, university or collage is the hardest place to be enrolled in a group or society and its a fight for social acceptance and individuality. The only way around conformity is to keep your individuality and follow what your beliefs are. Ignore what any other popular group wants you to do and follow your moral beliefs. Individualism is way better then following into the traps of conformity.
Judgments. Discrimination. Bad behavior. It’s self explanatory, as to why people are “outsiders”, or why other think people are. People judging and evaluating everyone else to whom they think they are but really don’t know what that persons like. They believe they have more power then others and can judge and conform others into being people they don’t want to be. It disappointing to see people lose self morals to conformity and other media, groups. Morals differ one’s knowing of right from wrong. Its all the media and high school groups that influence our actions and affect our personal identity. These change your knowledgeable of right from wrong, and changes how you act towards your peers.
What individuals need to realize is conformity needs to be avoided. Conformity is a leading cause of increase in alcohol abuse, drugs, and gangs. Individuals that are taken by conformity are just wanting to fit in with everyone else in their society, so they act out of their morals. We have to stay true to ourselves and not distinguish from other groups. We need to stick to our morals and not do what other people want us to do. Its just going to lead to drugs, alcohol, and making you want to pressure others into your group.

The poem, The Desjardins, by Duncan Campbell Scott, is about a family of three including, Adele, Charles, and Philippe. They’ve been living together and taking care of each other ever since their father passed away. This reminds me of the show Lost, where a group of people are stranded on an island every since their plain crashed. Most of them are adults, some with kids and they have to work together in order to survive. Its up to them to make the right decisions just like Christof did. Christof was constantly making decisions and telling the actors to control Truman’s world. One wrong move by Christof Truman would escape into the real world. The author foreshadows Charles’ spiral downwards by sharing details like his favorite song, the national anthem of France, La Marseillaise.
Phillipe has demonstrated to have an adult like conscience, like Rudy Baylor in the film, Rainmaker. When he left the law profession he based his decision on his own morals and values. He did this because he understood the importance of values, life, and emotions and new the unimportance of money, wealth. He was willing to help a leukemia patient, Donny Ray, because he felt it was morally right and he thought it was the right thing to do.Rudy was a person of integrity and always stood up to what he believed was right. He made decisions based on an adult like conscience, values and beliefs. During the poem Phillipe also made decisions based on an adult like conscience, values and beliefs. He wanted to do what was best for his family once his father had died. When the death of his father happened he was only living with his brother and sister. He was the one to step up and become the father like figure in the Desjardins family.
Charles was unfortunate to lose his father, and key member of the family. He had died to insanity and was considered to be “crazy” and its even more horrid to live and life with the same suffering and pain his father went through. It doesn’t just affect Charles and his decisions in life but it affects the people that care and the important people in his life, his siblings. Adele and Phillipe lose their fate as well, the insanity is inhospitable and the disease could hit them at any moment. Charles controls a big part of Adel and Phillipe’s lives but they have have an adult like conscience to take care of him and watch out for signs of insanity. Living a life with insanity in the family would be very frightening. At any moment fate could be out of hand and in the hands of mental insanity.

In the poem “lament For The Dorsets” the Dorsets were distant ancestors of contemporary Inuits. The Dorset civilization was spread over an extensive area of northern Canada and is thought to have existed for approximately two thousand years. The Doresets had a unique civilization that had died off because of their people were unable to survive in the changing conditions. The population of seals had died off because of climatic cycles, and this was the Dorsets primary food year round. Also the Thule Tribe “little men from the west” migrated where the Dorsets lived contributing to the extinction of their tribe. The Thule had higher standards of living they were more technologically sophisticated people, they had dogs pulling their sleds around rather then having the Dorsets modern hunter’s strength. It is our responsibility to protect and keep in history the remains that the archeologists have dug up. These artifacts give us signs that the Dorset tribe actually existed and make people want to research this historical tribe. The more information or artifacts people can find the more evidence I have to research about, and its what strives me to find the best of these people.
Al Purdy suggests that modern day people face similar struggles and responsibilities of the Dorset tribe. I have never heard of the Dorset Tribe except for when I read it today and went deeper into researching the tribe. The Dorsets strived to do what was always best for them. In our society we always look for new and improved ideas and technology, and we strive just like the Dorsets did. The Dorsets were very different people who did things with spirit, strength, and had a strong moral religion. Glowing lamps described small blubber lamps that the people used for warmth, especially for when the hunters went hunting for their peoples food. They weren’t as technological as the Thule. They used animal bones, some mossy tent rings, scrapers and spearheads to carve and create their items.Technological diagnostics of the Dorset culture include small and triangular end-blades, which were shafted onto harpoon heads. These harpoons were used to hunt primarily seal, but there was some extent of larger sea mammal exploitation. The Dorsets didn’t have the technology we have today. They had to use materials from the land to make their standard of living the best it could be.
The Dorsets are living in a modern day world, they have been convicted with new standers of living and greater technology, while being stuck with the technology from the past. In the theory of evolution the strongest survive, the ones who strive and put more effort into everything are the ones who become the stronger or the alpha dogs. Like myself I strive to do the best I can in school, and in basketball, and if I miss the easiest basket the only person I can blame is myself. It is my problem to adapt to newer problems and newer plays. The lack of responsibility the Dorsets had brought them to extinction, left them all forgotten except for the ivory swan that the last Dorset carved. Hundreds of years later this historical ivory swan can still be seen and is remembering the great man who carved it, kudluk. The discovery of the swan is bringing back the cultures image and lifestyle, it showing the art and talent these people had. The Dorset culture is in history for my generation and future generations to look back on, and remember the great ivory swan.

Not only is this man an Jewish Hungarian-American hes one of the greatest magicians, escapologists and stunt performers ever out there. Harry Houdini forever changed the world of magic and escapes, and widely regarded as one of the greatest escapologists in history. Houdini was a poet like Eli Mandel but his poetry wasn’t rhyming, in a structural way, it was being hanged in the air handcuffed, chained, and in a stray jacket. Houdini’s poetry was spoken by manacles, cells, handcuffs, chests, hampers, vaults, and deeply spoken by coffins. Houdini’s magic bound the poet because it was an honor to right about the greatest magician. The outstanding work of Houdini bound Eli Mandel to write and express what he believed Houndini lived for.Eli Mandel is blinded to find the right words to describe Houdini’s magic, while Houdini himself is blinded to chains, handcuffs, locked in trunks that bind him from life or death. Madel struggles to free his emotions of escapologists wonderful work and he struggles trying to find the right words to describe how mind shocking Houdini is.
Trunks are like metaphors because you never know what life is like inside a trunk until you open it up and go inside. We are outside and this is just a normal wooden trunk with a lock on, nothing else really special. No matter how perfect our world is our mind always wants to find truth and every trunk with a lock on that binds us from finding truth. The trunk is the container in which we are locked down to and the lock is the fear that decides if we escape or stay inside. The lock is not always a fear, it keeps us locked up, secure from being exposed or so nobody can steal whats inside. No matter how perfect or how comfy the inside of the trunk is we always want to escape and reach the outside world.
The crowd and spectators are bound and defied because of the possibility of a disaster, the death of Houdini who made history. People are bound to the magic and escapology that amazes and dazzles them. Houdini’s magic mesmerizes the simple minded people. Every fan and spectator of Houdini watches anxiously and awaiting Harry’s fate of the attempt of escaping, failing, or even death. Houdini brought the belief that magic could be an inspiration to every fan of his magic and escapology and he introduced it to the entire world.
