What are the typical problems facing teens today?

In this era teens are facing these problems everyday: drug, alcohol, anxiety, drinking and driving, low self-esteem, teen pregnancy, violence, depression, bullying.


What is wrong with saying, “What’s wrong with teens today?”

We shouldn’t be asking “What’s wrong with kids today?” we should be asking “What’s right with kids today?” so we know what they are doing to succeed and how can we help the others to succeed.


How are you better and brighter than your parents generation?

Our test scores are higher, athletes are better, more variety in people, better performers due to how much has changed in the past years, better looking due to all the trends.


How are the troubled students in more trouble than those of your parents generation?

The troubled students are in more trouble than those of our parents generation because of how much people opinions and words matter and hurt these days, because of how other may react to and action you have done. Also because people tend to blindly follow the path that’s in front of them just because it’s the path that’s in front of them.


When did women get to vote in Canada? U.S.A.?

Women got to vote in 1916 in Canada and in 1920 in the U.S.A.


Have you ever “Left your campsite better than you found it”?

By saying yes to this I am meaning that there has been times in school where we will go out for break and I’ll see a garbage wrapper on the flour and I will usually do the right thing and pick it up. But there are lots of times when I could “Leave my campsite better then I found it” but a lot of the time I don’t take that opportunity for example I’ll go home and I could do a bit of cleaning but I chose not to and end up making more of a mess.


“Connect the dots.” What does that mean in your school?

This means to connect all the different groups together because no one should feel left out just because they aren’t in a certain sport of club. It means to bring people together rather than push them away because their different. Like for example if someone is sitting in the lunch room with say their volleyball team and then there’s another group of people which for example could be like the really smart kids, you should try and communicate with them and not just the people in your group.


How many times could you listen to “You Light Up My Life” by Debby Boon?

Lets just say if we played it every morning I wouldn’t be disappointed.


Do you know an adult that believes in you more than you believe in yourself?

I do know an adult that believes in me more than I believe in myself. I think that having that kind of support has really encouraged me to do more than just have a little bit for faith in myself.


What is a “Happy Camper”? How can you spot them?

A happy camper can be spotted if they do these 3 things: They believe that were in control over our emotions, they have respect for the world around them and they want to make the world a better place, and lastly they believe that you have to provide service for emaple give to others not take from others.


What is the pledge of the “Happy Camper”?

The pledge of the happy camper is the whole section where mark told the students that if they said it with him you would become a happy camper.


How will you know you are a “Happy Camper”?

You will know you’re a happy camper when someone comes up to you and says “well aren’t we a happy camper” or “why aren’t you some kind of happy camper”
