I finished reading the book and I found out what the big deal about the Kraken was. When he passes through the sea, it begins healing and the Aunts feel this is necessary because the sea is very damaged. The Kraken also has a son, which he entrusts to Minette and Fabio while he goes on his healing tour of the sea. The baby Kraken misses his father and mops around most of the time, so Minette and Fabio end up sleeping with him in the cave to try and get him to trust them. They want the baby Kraken to be happy so that his father does not have to worry about him. The book ends with Minette and Fabio taking over most of the care of the Island so that the Aunts can take it easy for the rest of their lives. The Kraken comes back and his son is overjoyed to see him. His son makes him promise to take him along next time his father goes on the healing mission. It all ends very happily.

Great post Kimmi. I agree when you say that we shouldn't blame politicians for not doing anything with global warming when it really is not just their fault, its everybody's.

Well done Kimmi. Well descriptive details are included in the post. I too am very strongly in support for equality between not only men and woman and children, but also animals and any breathing thing on this planet. Great work.

Great post Kim, I strongly agree with you on that last paragraph especially. Not all people have to fit into certain categories and its immoral to try to place them in these groups. Good work

The book concludes wih Zoey's soul leaving her body, so her body is jsut a shell. This happens because Heith spys on a conversation between Kalona and Neferet and Kalona catches him. Because of Zoey's strong imprint with eith, when Kalona kills Heith Zoey's last doing is sending a huge mass of spirit at Kalona that sends him over the cliff just like Nyx had done centuries ago. The book leaves you wondering on how Zoey could no longer inhabit her body. Did part of that spirit include hers, because A-ya did not want Kalona to die without her?

It turns out that there are more red fledglings in the tunnels that have not gotten their humanity back. These fledglings do not like Stevie Rae so they come up with a plan to use the Raven Mocker. Red fledglings and vampyres brn if they stay in teh sunlight. So, because Stevie Rae has an unexplained sympathy for the Raven Mocker, the plan goes as so : Raven Mocker will pretend to be hurt, so that Stevie Rae goes onto the roof to help him, but she gets caught in a cage, and burns. Fortunatly, the Raven Mocker and her work together and get out before Stevie Rae burns up entirly.

I concur that there shouldn't be a boundary between what kind of alcohol a person can drink.
It doesn't matter what gender one is, it's what ever they like to drink! Great post Kim.

I figured out what Stevie Rae's secret is. She found a dying Raven Mocker that begged her to kill him because he was shot and broke his wing. But Stevie Rae had sympathy for him because of her recent history with humanity. A Raven Mocker is the product of Kalona raping the woman of Zoey's grandmothes Cherokee tribe. They are half bird, half man. They have wings and feathers but also arms and legs and although they have a beak they talk like a human unless they are mad.

So I am reading the latest bok in a series call House of Night. Everytime I read a new installemtn I am pleasently surprised. There is always a new event that catches me off gaurd. The mother and daughter duo never disappoint. The book starts out with Zoey starting to figure out what Stevie Rae's secret is, thanks to Aphrodite's imprint to Stevie Rae. I haven't read far enough to know what the secret is.
