REVIEW
I found that at times in this movie I was almost crying I was laughing so hard and other times I felt like crying I was so sad. I changed how I see that just one bully can change a person’s life. Also this movie helped me to realize the importance of including everyone and letting everyone have fun.

I noticed in this movie that a person who grew up being a “bad” kid, could really change their life around if they try. Then when you switch the scenario around, kids who grew up being bullied may never get over it and have a much greater difficulty moving on. Clearly this movie was trying to make a point to everyone and they may have made it a comedy to attract a greater variety of people and kids to watch it.

This movie demonstrates how an entire life can be changed with only the simplest gestures. I enjoyed this movie so much, I love comedies and this movie has a ton of scenes to laugh at and a great ending point. I recommend watching this movie because it is not only a comedy that will keep you laughing for weeks, but also a movie with a great underlying truth and a good life lesson.

Albertan Storms

I was shocked and scared to hear about this horrible accident. I can’t believe this storm blowing over Alberta is so bad that people can freeze to death in so little time. With Onion Lake being so close to home, I am worried about all the people in my community. I have heard this storm is the worst in about 20 years, no wonder I don’t remember anything like this before.
My family has been shovelling so much lately, the wind just keeps drifting the snow. My sister, brother, and I usually have to walk to school everyday, about 2 blocks, and we can’t because it is so cold and the snow is so deep. Our dad has been driving us with the temperature at least -20 degrees Celsius. In the field behind our house the drifts are so deep when my dad tried using the snow-blower it almost got stuck. The drifts were too high so the snow-blower just went right under.
We have an older car and it has a hard time travelling around just in town.

In the story it said “blowing snow shut down several highways in the province Wednesday,” then my sister told my family and I that the local highway, Highway 16, was also shut down.

At school so many kids are absent. The out of town buses aren’t running, the families on farms have drifts up to 5 feet high in front of their garage doors, so even if they wanted to drive to school, they would have to shovel so much. On Thursday, even the in town buses weren’t running, with temperatures of -25 degrees Celsius I can’t say I blame the bus drivers. With final exams coming up the next 2 weeks I was actually thankful that I was only 2 blocks from the school and could make it to school. I hope this storm passes quickly and that no more fatalities or injuries and that the people come out with no more than experience.
