Our Pursuit

Identified by their common, distinguishing characteristics of unwavering determination, drive, and enthusiasm are those of great ambition. These qualities are very evident in the ways of action and speech. Watching and listening to Jolan Brunner will show this astounding difference to anyone. Striving to complete goals she has set for herself with an ambitious attitude and out-look on life has set the scene on her life journey, creating her own path to the completion of these goals. Her characteristics can create for her various and infinite advantages and disadvantages. As long as she stays focused and determined, her goals will be reached, but this narrow sight line and stubborn-minded attitude can cause serious problems in some lives socially, politically, and economically if not carefully managed. Ambitious persons are frequently very successful in their economic and political lifestyles but continuously lack in the social aspects of life, like family relations and friendship. These life aspects are surpassed on the straight and narrow path to reaching the desired goals, customarily leading to feelings of loneliness, depression, and anxiety.

Jolan Brunner is the best example of all these characteristics, over-and-above. She still maintains her drive and determination and she is always there for her friends and family. When she was diagnosed with osteogenic-sarcoma at the age of 12, she continued to be energetic and lively. She has the determination and the enthusiasm to play hockey, volleyball, run track, and cycle using her prosthetic leg. Not only does her ambition give her the skill to participate and excel in these categories, it also helped her to become the caring and loving friend she has become. She has learned about how important and fragile life is, and she is striving to show others this secret to life. She has found near perfect balances between her abition for goals and dreams as well as love and friendship. With her strong virtues of both determination and love, she has become a more well-rounded person.

Jolan has a very attractive attitude and redefined life-style. She has the ambition and out-look on life every person should have. She has become who she is through scary situations, like her fight with chemotherapy, that many people are horrified to confront, but Jolan still faces the world with a smile. Her situation is one that many do not find attractive, but the out-comes are what these people desire. Most people are too scared to take the risks to become like Jolan. I am personally enthralled and fascinated by her, wanting nothing more than to evolve and mature into the type of person she is. If this world could become as she sees it, this world would be a better place for everyone.

Ambition is a fragile and dubious quality to possess, but balanced correctly, this can be a great advantage to the possessor or those affected by this person. Ambition can lead to great benefits and gains in the vicinity of money, love or power when properly addressed and embraced. Ambition is an addicting philosophy for people in contact with it, the formidable task is to find the ambition and it’s possessor.
