Snivelization

Herman Melville is the author of the famous book called Moby Dick. He also is know as the person to compare civilization to snivelization. Snivel is to complain or whine tearfully. I think he is talking about how hard things were back in the day, like in the 50’s when he created this book, compared to the civilization in earlier years. He thinks that people back in the old day had a lot more hardships than we have today, but i don’t recall anyone back in the old day crying to get things done it might have been hard but they didn’t “snivel”. But people these days have it a lot easier than back them and they still are really lazy. There is such a big job demand and people in their twenties are living off of welfare.

I don’t agree with this author but i don’t disagree with him either. Cause i think that there was a lot of work back in the old days but not a lot of sniveling. There is not a lot of hard work and a lot of sniveling. So i think that this question is not really a rhetorical question because there is two sides to the answer and may different opinions, there has probably been many people asked this question and there were most likely a lot of people that agree yet disagree with this interesting question.

With all of the hardships faced in the old days like picking rocks from a field with your bare hands, starting your Model T car with hot water and a lever, cultivating with cows and walking behind them, and there are many many more. But these days you almost have everything done by technology like tractors, electric starting cars, and self propelled cultivators. So people back in the day even though had much more time consuming and physical work they didn’t care they just did that cause they had to, they had to get it done even without all of the fancy technological things we have today.
