Mars Base 2050

If I had to go on Mars for a while I would write diaries about my time and all the things I’m doing up there.  I would read the diary when I return to earth from mars and remember the things I did on Mars.  I would be happy on mars because I would be away from everyone and wouldn’t be anxious sometimes from school.

My first experience would be to explore out on mars to try and find treasures and particles nobody has ever seen before. I would try to create new things on mars that would surprise everyone else on Earth. If I found new things on Mars I would take it back to Earth if it wasn’t just a rock and sand. I would try to create a robot friend to be with me so I wouldn’t have to be alone on Mars.

The priorities  I would set would be to bring back a couple of new things on Mars that people have never seen before. I would hope for values on things from Mars to see what I can invest in to try to earn some money from the value I would bring back from Mars to Earth. If I got a lot of money from the values I would try to buy a house and try to move to a different country than Canada like the U.S.A.

If I got back to Earth I would try to invest the things I found on Mars and try to make a bunch of money out of it. If I got a lot of money out of it I would have programs for people to help them invest stuff to be turned into better people and let their future be set for the next couple of years.

The stuff I wrote is what I would do if I had to live on mars for a couple of months.

Where the mountain meets the moon

This book is called Where The Mountain Meets The Moon. The book stars a 10-year-old girl and her name is Minli. She is always ready for an adventure, however, she likes spending time with her father besides going on adventures. All the villagers where Minli lives are poor, as farming is difficult in the dry hard land where they live. They say there is an immortal Jade Dragon that only spits out rain every once in a while and there is hardly any rice left to eat for the poor people that live there.

There is a special goldfish that Minli is holding; apparently, it can answer Minli questions if she asks a certain question and receives directions from the goldfish to a never-ending mountain.  The next day Minli sets the goldfish free so she doesn’t burden her parents further and leaves the village. When her parents find out Minli is gone they try to look for her but are stopped by the goldfish seller who tells the parents to trust Minli.  When Minli woke up in the forest she found a dragon next to her so she becomes the dragon’s friend. The dragon cannot fly like other dragons. He tells Minli that he was born from painting and came to life when his eyes were painted.

When the dragon and Minli were on their Journey they saw selfish monkeys. Minli manages to trick them into letting them pass and together they enter the city called Bright Moonlight. The boy is poor and has nothing but buffalo but helps her find the king who possesses a borrowed line of text which is key to finding the old man of the moon. When she meets the king he gives up the borrowing line of which is revealed to be a page from the book of fortune.

Meanwhile, at the village, Minli’s mom and dad wait for her to get back from her hunt. During the journey, the dragon tries to protect Minli from a poisonous green tiger but gets injured and would have died if Minli had not sought out help from a nearby village of the moon rain.  When the twins from the village killed the tiger they used the poisonous thing in the tiger to revive the dragon and make him better again so he could protect Minli. Minli asks the old man from the moon why can’t this dragonfly-like other dragons? The old man instructs her to remove a rock from his head which prevents him from flying in the first place. When she removes the rock from the dragon’s heads the dragon immediately starts flying like other dragons.

The dragon reunites with one of its children and transforms Fruitless Mountain to Fruitless Mountain. Because of Minli’s help, her family gets everything they could’ve hoped for. This is like Hero’s Journey because Minli is trying to get everything her family wanted and won’t be poor anymore. She won’t have to worry about running out of food or water and starvation. Minli was a hero because she saves her family from running out of money and food and saves the dragon from never being able to fly again. I like this story because it doesn’t always have to be an adult to be a hero.  Usually, stories are about adults saving kids and other people and this story is about the kid saving her parents.

My Dream House

My dream house would be a mansion. I would have lots of party’s and pay people to cook meals like breakfast and supper. If I had a butler I would make him cook me fast food from restaurants so I wouldn’t have to go to a restaurant.

I would have a little restaurant, pay workers, have everyone clean the mess  I make; if I make one. I would have a couple of rooms for just dogs, cats, and turtles. I would have babysitters for the dogs. If I have enough dogs I would pay people to babysit. I would have at least one party every week with friends.

I would pay painters to paint pictures of my old dogs from my childhood to put them on the wall. This is so I could look at them to remember them and never forget my childhood dogs and cats.  I would invite people to my home to look at all the paintings, big rooms, and the rooms with just my pets in.

I would have a big pool in the back of my house and have a bar in the backyard of the house for the party. I would host this party for a few hours every week and invite old friends to the party; if they were in the area that I would be in. I would have the mansion in  Los Angeles California.

I would live with a bunch of people and pay them if they would do stuff for me if they were good all week to me without getting upset. I would have a big garage with supercars and colored walls with a bar in the corner of the garage, the bar in the garage would only be for drinks and no food.

Dream Car

My dream car is to have a pink Lamborghini. I would have bigger wheels on the car so it looks bigger. I want pink on my car because it is my favourite colour out of all the colours.  I would have a cooler in the car because if I stop at a light to wait,  I could have a drink and put it back in the cooler.  I would have a newer engine on the car so it would be really loud. I want my car to start up faster and have smoke coming out of the muffler. I’d look cool.

I would try to go all over the world in that car because it is super fast and has a big gas tank. I would get very good gas mileage in my car.  I would bring my animals in the car to see if they would like it and not get scared by the sound. I would take my family members to places so they don’t have to drive and it would be quicker with the supercar. My brother would love to go for a ride in my car as it would go high speeds.

I would have a Bluetooth, GPS System, wings on the back, I Phone stand, & a stereo with subwoofer speakers.  The louder the music, the better I like it. I would install car video systems and put the screens in the headrests. My family could watch a movie if we are going on a long trip somewhere.  There would also be butterfly wings for my doors when I open them up instead of normal car doors. These kinds of doors make the car look more sporty.

If I started to not like the Lamborghini I could try to sell it to people who are looking for a fast car for a good deal.  If I could have this car I would be happy and after a few months or years with the car, I  could try to make an investment or sell the car for a good price.  I probably had to pay 200 hundred thousand to 500 thousand dollars for my car.  I would put in headrests for my car, stereo, and make the car as comfortable as possible.  Hopefully, I could sell it for more money if I put in extra features.

This has been my dream car for a couple of years.  I would try to do anything to try and buy it when I’m older and have enough money to do that. It would be better if I won the lottery instead as I would probably have a better chance of getting the money that way.

Viewing the World #5

After I read about someone who can achieve great things by working hard and wanting more for themselves, I thought of my sister. She has gone to school and worked hard and is still working towards more.

She went to McEwan University for four years and got her commerce degree. She went on and wrote and passed her final exam for her CPA designation through the  CPA Alberta Western School of Business. She is working full time and is currently waiting on approval of her work hours to get her Official CPA designation.

She is planning to further her accounting career by obtaining additional designations in either financial planning or specialized taxes.  She is hoping to someday become a partner for a public accounting firm. She keeps going back to school to get more education so she will accomplish her goal of being a partner. She is like Hellen Keller in that she has to keep working hard and never give up to get what she wants in life.

She looked out for me all the time when I was little

I’m 72, So What

I liked this story because it is about an older woman being with a guy longer than she thought she would and grew up with him.  Then they broke up with each other a couple of years later. After 20 years in the U.S.A., she saw herself being a forever green card holder, never really settling down after she got to old age. She only had a vague notion of what it meant to be old and would want to pack up. She thought life would send her signals when the time came.

Since she broke up with her husband a few years ago she wanted to try and attempt to get across the Atlantic Ocean looking for international schools for her daughters in Paris. As the years passed she had moved to  New York. She decided to go to France and live there for a while.

When she became an adult after her teenage days were over she cried when she turned 20.

she did not want to become an adult. After 30 years she said she thought she was in the adult world finally, the World of Mad Men.

A couples of reasons I didn’t like this story was because it was too focused on how old she was and she wanted to leave New York and go back to Paris and didn’t.  I was hoping she would go back to Paris.  Another reason why I didn’t like it was that when she turned 20 years old she cried when she became an adult. Most of the 20-year-olds would be happy becoming that age not having to live with their parents anymore and get more friends from work and be friends a long time with people who you work with. When she said she tried to go across the Atlantic,  I didn’t like that because there are usually schools in every big/medium state in America. When you’re older you get to do more traveling than you do at a younger age or in your teenage years.

Teleportation

If I could go anywhere in the world I would like to go to  Hawaii. I would like to go to Hawaii because I like the sun up longer than 5;30 and it’s always hot. I would want to go to the beach and get the sun on me so I could get another tan.  I like the sun out longer so I won’t get cold during the day/night without the sun at 5;30.

I would go to a hotel to sleep at night so I could go back to the beach the next morning. There’s a lot to do in Hawaii you could go to Disneyland, snorkel with sharks, mountain tubing through Canals and Tunnels, sunset dinner, sunrise lava tour. I hope I could take long walks on the beaches and on the roads. I would like to bring my dog to Hawaii but I don’ t know if you’re allowed to.

Hawaii is one of the safest places in the nicest place in the world. If  I had enough money to live in Hawaii and live in a nice house beside a beach I would love to move there because it doesn’ t snow that much in Hawaii. It is one of the warmest places on Earth.

Best three poems for school

I only heard Baby shark a few times but I would like to listen to it more. It does not have any bad language in the song. It is a good rhyming song if you want to listen to rhyming songs. It is about a baby shark, grandma & grandpa shark, dad shark.  Baby Shark was released in 2016 by Korean’s Children entertainment brand. Elton John, the singer, wrote Baby Shark. Baby Shark is about a family of sharks. It is a really big song around most of the world spreading through social media, online video, and the radio.

Twinkle Twinkle little star is a “short good poem/song” for kids to listen to if they like short songs with no bad language. The song is about stars and the sun. Wolfgang Mozart wrote Twinkle Twinkle Little Star for kids. Mozart was 25 years old when he came up with the idea of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. The song is a public domain and has many adaptions around the world.

We Are The Dinosaurs is a long song for kids with no bad language. The song is about the dinosaurs making the earth flat and about stopping to eat food and dinosaurs marching. This song came out in 1997. The genre for We Are The Dinosaurs is meant to be for kids.  The length of the song is 32 minutes.  The song is for children age 2 to 8.

Dear Bob,

I would like to encourage you to listen to your parents and teachers. These people can help you to decide right from wrong. Even though you think they don’t do anything for you they really do. Teachers teach us so that we can go from school to college or university and get a good education so that you can get a good job and make lots of money to look after yourself better. Parents and teachers also try to teach us about God and how he loves us no matter what. Jesus died for us so that we could be free of our sins.

Maybe it would help you to go to church and speak with your parish priest. Our priest would have lots of things to share with you about God’s love and how you can show him that.  God may not like the things you are doing but he always loves you so should you.  Parents and teachers try to teach us to be respectful to everyone and most importantly to love your family and yourself.

Please, Bob, try to turn your self around and make your life and lifes of your parents and teachers better. You will be much happier and filled with joy when you do this.

Your friend, Landan

Summary: It is just like what path you want to take when you are older the good one or the bad one

Luke 10:38-42

Who sat at the Lord’s feet and listened to what he was saying.  Mary sat listening to the lord while Martha (mary’s sister) did work.  Martha wanted mary’s help to do the jobs but she was listening to Jesus.  Martha asked Jesus for his help to tell Mary to help her do her work but Jesus tells her that Mary chose the best choice, to listen to Jesus.

Mary was listening to Jesus but Martha was too distracted to listen. Martha wanted God to fix her problems but Mary would sit and listen to God rather than help Martha.

Mary chose to listen and learn to Jesus rather than Martha was distracted and did not want to listen to Jesus.

Mary listened to Jesus to what he had to say rather than help Martha.  I think Mary is going to do nothing to help and listen to God.

Summary: John 11:5-6   Lazarus grows ill and Jesus stays with him for 2 days while Mary and Martha leave.

Jesus loved them all and felt the need to stay longer for Lazarus because he was sick.

Jesus loved all three of them and felt the need to stay with Lazarus because he was very ill and the other two were not so he left them to stay with him.  He stayed two days longer so he was there for Lazarus.

Jesus’s attitude towards Martha, May, and Lazarus is that he loved them all and he even stayed two days because he was ill and didn’t want him to be alone.

Jesus loved Martha, Mary, and Lazarus and when he found out that Lazarus was ill he stayed for 2 days because he didn’t want to be left alone. /

Summary- John 11:20-22

Martha went to see Jesus and Mary stayed home.  Martha was then upset with Jesus because Lazarus had died.

Martha blames God for Lazarus dying. I don’t think that Martha has a good relationship with God or she wouldn’t blame him.

Martha’s faith is not based on logic was based on just her opinion, it would not make sense if someone is not there and someone dies that the person who is not there it’s their fault.

Martha’s faith was based on that she had lost trust in God and she blames him for letting Lazarus for dying.  I think she had a good relationship with him until he died and then now she doesn’t have a good relationship because of blaming him for letting Lazarus die.

Martha’s faith in the lord is based on her relationship with Jesus because she believes that if it was with her brother he wouldn’t have died and she had faith that if he stayed he wouldn’t have died.  Lazarus dies and Martha believes if Jesus stayed he would still be alive. Summary: It is just like what path you want to take when you are older the good one or the bad one

Section B

Exodus 4:10-17

Moses told the Lord to pardon his servants because he has never been eloquent not in the past or since he spoke to them. The Lord said back that he is slow of speech and tough and because Moses complained that he could not speak well, God appointed Aaron as Moses’ “prophet”. At the command of Moses, he took his staff. Then he stretched out his rod to bring on the first three signs.

It says that Moses isn’t the best and equal to everyone else. And he wants Jesus to speak to everyone doesn’t matter what’s wrong with them. And that will make his heart happy.

What is Aaron’s role?

Aaron’s role was to speak for Moses from Jesus.

Acts 8:26-38

The angel told Philip to go south to the road that leads from Jerusalem to Gaza. There he would worship Candace, queen of the Ethiopians. Philip is taken by the Holy Spirit to meet a highly placed Ethiopian court official who is reading Isaiah on the way home from Jerusalem. The Ethiopian asks for and receives baptism as a believer in Jesus as God’s Messiah, promised by Isaiah.-Reyne

It’s about he said to go to the road south of Jerusalem go to court official of the cadence queen of the Ethiopians. He came to Jerusalem to worship and return home he was reading the prophet, Isaiah. He had Philip help him understand the bible. And taught him the good news about Jesus. They found water and said what is to stop him from getting baptized and they stopped and Philip baptized him.

Who are the two people in this story?

Philip and Eunuch

Why does one of them choose to be baptized?.-Madison

As they were going along the road, they came to some water; and the eunuch said, ‘Look, here is water! What is to prevent me from being baptized!“He commanded the chariot to stop,” and both of them, Philip and the eunuch, went down into the water, and Philip baptized him.

  • Moses can’t inquire people about God by himself, he needs help from other people.

Who helps him solve it in a logical step by step way?

  • Moses’s father-in-law helps him.

People came to Moses to inquire about God. When they have a dispute, they come to me and I decide between one person or another and I make known to them the statutes and instructions of God. His father-in-law helped him.

John 11:16

Who has a very matter-of-fact attitude?

  • Thomas

What does he say?

  • Let us also go, that we may die with him

John 20:24-29Thomas doesn’t believe that Jesus was crucified so he needs proof to believe that it’s true

Section F

Luke 5:4-11

When does Peter first begin to understand Jesus?

Answer: Peter started to understand Jesus when Simon and Peter pulled the nets full of fish into the boat and the boat started sinking.  Peter fell to his knees, saying that Jesus shouldn’t help him because he had sinned. Jesus said to Peter that he was forgiven and that He can teach them about His forgiveness.

Summary: The reading is taken from the well-known story of

Matthew 14:24-33

What does Peter do when he sees Jesus?

Jesus appeared to the disciples and said, “Take heart, it is I, do not be afraid”  Peter then answered Jesus and said, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water”. Peter did not react the same way as the other disciples that saw and feared Jesus.  Instead, Peter answered Jesus’ question and said, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” Jesus then said, “Come.” As Peter got out of the boat, he then started walking on the water and came towards Jesus. While Peter was walking towards Jesus, Peter noticed a strong wind, and began to sink he then cried out to Jesus, “Lord save me!” Jesus then immediately reached out his hand and caught him. Jesus then said “You of little faith, why did you doubt?”. When Peter sees Jesus he answers and follows him out onto the water.

Matthew 17:1-8

What does Peter suggest in this passage?

Peter suggests that these mountains are a great place to be, so he says he can make three dwellings for Jesus, Moses, and Elijah.  Peter suggests that these mountains are a great place because the sun lights up Jesus’ face like lanterns, and Jesus talks to them shortly after his clothes became dazzling white.

John 13:3-10

What does Jesus do?  How does Peter respond?

This passage is from the time around Jesus’ Passion.  Holy Thursday; when Jesus and His disciples are having the Last Supper in the upper room.  Jesus presents himself to his disciples as a servant and washes their feet in a basin. When Jesus offers to clean him, Peter responds in a stubborn manner, stating that unless Peter washes Jesus’ feet, Jesus can have no share with him.  Simon Peter continues to say that if Jesus is to clean His disciples, He should not only wash his feet but also his hands and his head.

Based on these passages, which of the intelligence does Peter often use to understand and respond to Jesus?

Based on these passages, I can infer that Peter responds to Jesus with interpersonal intelligence.  Interpersonal intelligence is knowledge derived from social interaction with other people. In the first passage, Peter displays great humility, but Jesus forgave Peter and offered to teach Peter of his great forgiveness.  This tells us that Peter knows Jesus would have some form of response to his actions, thus further confirming his knowledge of interpersonal intelligence. Passage two further develops Peter’s responses to Jesus. We read of Peter’s response to Jesus’ pleas for him to come out onto the water with him.  Peter comes as Jesus commands him. In passage three, Peter recognizes the presence of others and offers to make dwellings for them. Passage four shows another act of Peter’s humility, telling Jesus that his feet, hands, and head all need to be washed to really be clean.

Section G

Romans 7:14-23

The Inner Conflict

For we know that the law is spiritual; but I am of the flesh, sold into slavery under sin. I do not understand my own actions. for I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. Now if I do what I do not want, I agree that the law is good. But in fact, it is no longer I that do it, but sin that dwells within me. For I know that nothing good dwells within me, that is, in my flesh. I can will what is right, but I cannot do it. For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I do. Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I that do it, but sin that dwells within me.

So I find it to be a law that when I want to do what is good, evil lies close at hand. For I delight in the law of God in my innermost self, but I see in my members another law at war with the law of my mind, making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members.

Who does Paul talk about as he tries to explain law and grace?

Paul speaks of sin and how it makes him make the wrong choices and do what he does not want to do. Paul is talking about himself and how he is sinning.

The passage talks about how Paul is admitting that he has sinned and that he does not do what he wants to do but what he hates.

1 Corinthians 2:1-5

Proclaiming Christ Crucified

When I came to you, brothers and sisters, I did not come proclaiming the mystery of God to you in lofty words or wisdom. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and him crucified. And I came to you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling. My speech and my proclamation were not with plausible words of wisdom, but with a demonstration of the Spirit and of power so that your faith might rest not on human wisdom but on the power of God.

What does Paul say helped reveal the power of the spirit?

Paul reveals the power of the spirit by saying he chose not to know nothing among him except for Jesus Christ and him being crucified. He came to the spirit and said this he was in fear.

He also asked for his help in what to do.

2 Corinthians 12:7-10

even considering the exceptional character of the revelations. Therefore, to keep me from being too elated, a thorn was given to me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me, to keep me from being too elated. Three times I appealed to the Lord about this, that it would leave me, but he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.“ So, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities for the sake of Christ; for whenever I am weak, then I am strong.

Paul understands that in his grace the law that God has given him is visible.

Which of the intelligence is Paul using in these passages to help people understand God?

Paul used fear as his intelligence to face the fears of the spirit.

Whose need for proof does Jesus understand and accept?
