Signs Of Intelligence

Section A

Summary: It is just like what path you want to take when you are older the good one or the bad one

Luke 10:38-42

Who sat at the Lord’s feet and listened to what he was saying.  Mary sat listening to the lord while Martha (mary’s sister) did work.  Martha wanted mary’s help to do the jobs but she was listening to Jesus.  Martha asked Jesus for his help to tell Mary to help her do her work but Jesus tells her that Mary chose the best choice, to listen to Jesus.

Mary was listening to Jesus but Martha was too distracted to listen. Martha wanted God to fix her problems but Mary would sit and listen to God rather than help Martha.

Mary chose to listen and learn to Jesus rather than Martha was distracted and did not want to listen to Jesus.

Mary listened to Jesus to what he had to say rather than help Martha.  I think Mary is going to do nothing to help and listen to God.

Summary: John 11:5-6   Lazarus grows ill and Jesus stays with him for 2 days while Mary and Martha leave.

Jesus loved them all and felt the need to stay longer for Lazarus because he was sick.

Jesus loved all three of them and felt the need to stay with Lazarus because he was very ill and the other two were not so he left them to stay with him.  He stayed two days longer so he was there for Lazarus.

Jesus’s attitude towards Martha, May, and Lazarus is that he loved them all and he even stayed two days because he was ill and didn’t want him to be alone.

Jesus loved Martha, Mary, and Lazarus and when he found out that Lazarus was ill he stayed for 2 days because he didn’t want to be left alone. /

Summary- John 11:20-22

Martha went to see Jesus and Mary stayed home.  Martha was then upset with Jesus because Lazarus had died.

Martha blames God for Lazarus dying. I don’t think that Martha has a good relationship with God or she wouldn’t blame him.

Martha’s faith is not based on logic was based on just her opinion, it would not make sense if someone is not there and someone dies that the person who is not there it’s their fault.

Martha’s faith was based on that she had lost trust in God and she blames him for letting Lazarus for dying.  I think she had a good relationship with him until he died and then now she doesn’t have a good relationship because of blaming him for letting Lazarus die.

Martha’s faith in the lord is based on her relationship with Jesus because she believes that if it was with her brother he wouldn’t have died and she had faith that if he stayed he wouldn’t have died.  Lazarus dies and Martha believes if Jesus stayed he would still be alive. Summary: It is just like what path you want to take when you are older the good one or the bad one

Section B

Exodus 4:10-17

Moses told the Lord to pardon his servants because he has never been eloquent not in the past or since he spoke to them. The Lord said back that he is slow of speech and tough and because Moses complained that he could not speak well, God appointed Aaron as Moses’ “prophet”. At the command of Moses, he took his staff. Then he stretched out his rod to bring on the first three signs.

It says that Moses isn’t the best and equal to everyone else. And he wants Jesus to speak to everyone doesn’t matter what’s wrong with them. And that will make his heart happy.

What is Aaron’s role?

Aaron’s role was to speak for Moses from Jesus.

Acts 8:26-38

The angel told Philip to go south to the road that leads from Jerusalem to Gaza. There he would worship Candace, queen of the Ethiopians. Philip is taken by the Holy Spirit to meet a highly placed Ethiopian court official who is reading Isaiah on the way home from Jerusalem. The Ethiopian asks for and receives baptism as a believer in Jesus as God’s Messiah, promised by Isaiah.-Reyne

It’s about he said to go to the road south of Jerusalem go to court official of the cadence queen of the Ethiopians. He came to Jerusalem to worship and return home he was reading the prophet, Isaiah. He had Philip help him understand the bible. And taught him the good news about Jesus. Why does one of them choose to be baptized?.-Madison

As they were going along the road, they came to some water; and the eunuch said, ‘Look, here is water! What is to prevent me from being baptized!“He commanded the chariot to stop,” and both of them, Philip and the eunuch, went down into the water, and Philip baptized him.

It talks about splendor all around. It almost sounds unbelievable but when they saw this appearance it was the Lord they fell on their knees in awe and listened to God’s voice

Section E

What is Moses’s problem?

  • Moses can’t inquire people about God by himself, he needs help from other people.

Who helps him solve it in a logical step by step way?

  • Moses’s father-in-law helps him.

People came to Moses to inquire about God. When they have a dispute, they come to me and I decide between one person or another and I make known to them the statutes and instructions of God. His father-in-law helped him.

John 11:16

  • Thomas

What does he say?

  • Let us also go, that we may die with him

John 20:24-29Thomas doesn’t believe that Jesus was crucified so he needs proof to believe that it’s true

Section F

Luke 5:4-11

When does Peter first begin to understand Jesus?

Answer: Peter started to understand Jesus when Simon and Peter pulled the nets full of fish into the boat and the boat started sinking.  Peter fell to his knees, saying that Jesus shouldn’t help him because he had sinned. Jesus said to Peter that he was forgiven and that He can teach them about His forgiveness.

Summary: The reading is taken from the well-known story of

Matthew 14:24-33

What does Peter do when he sees Jesus?

Jesus appeared to the disciples and said, “Take heart, it is I, do not be afraid”  Peter then answered Jesus and said, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water”. Peter did not react the same way as the other disciples that saw and feared Jesus.  Instead, Peter answered Jesus’ question and said, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” Jesus then said, “Come.” As Peter got out of the boat, he then started walking on the water and came towards Jesus. While Peter was walking towards Jesus, Peter noticed a strong wind, and began to sink he then cried out to Jesus, “Lord save me!” Jesus then immediately reached out his hand and caught him. Jesus then said “You of little faith, why did you doubt?”. When Peter sees Jesus he answers and follows him out onto the water.

Matthew 17:1-8

What does Peter suggest in this passage?

Peter suggests that these mountains are a great place to be, so he says he can make three dwellings for Jesus, Moses, and Elijah.  Peter suggests that these mountains are a great place because the sun lights up Jesus’ face like lanterns, and Jesus talks to them shortly after his clothes became dazzling white.

John 13:3-10

What does Jesus do?  How does Peter respond?

This passage is from the time around Jesus’ Passion.  Holy Thursday; when Jesus and His disciples are having the Last Supper in the upper room.  Jesus presents himself to his disciples as a servant and washes their feet in a basin. When Jesus offers to clean him, Peter responds in a stubborn manner, stating that unless Peter washes Jesus’ feet, Jesus can have no share with him.  Simon Peter continues to say that if Jesus is to clean His disciples, He should not only wash his feet but also his hands and his head.

Based on these passages, which of the intelligence does Peter often use to understand and respond to Jesus?

Based on these passages, I can infer that Peter responds to Jesus with interpersonal intelligence.  Interpersonal intelligence is knowledge derived from social interaction with other people. In the first passage, Peter displays great humility, but Jesus forgave Peter and offered to teach Peter of his great forgiveness.  This tells us that Peter knows Jesus would have some form of response to his actions, thus further confirming his knowledge of interpersonal intelligence. Passage two further develops Peter’s responses to Jesus. We read of Peter’s response to Jesus’ pleas for him to come out onto the water with him.  Peter comes as Jesus commands him. In passage three, Peter recognizes the presence of others and offers to make dwellings for them. Passage four shows another act of Peter’s humility, telling Jesus that his feet, hands, and head all need to be washed to really be clean.

Section G

Romans 7:14-23

The Inner Conflict

For we know that the law is spiritual; but I am of the flesh, sold into slavery under sin. I do not understand my own actions. for I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. Now if I do what I do not want, I agree that the law is good. But in fact, it is no longer I that do it, but sin that dwells within me. For I know that nothing good dwells within me, that is, in my flesh. I can will what is right, but I cannot do it. For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I do. Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I that do it, but sin that dwells within me.

So I find it to be a law that when I want to do what is good, evil lies close at hand. For I delight in the law of God in my innermost self, but I see in my members another law at war with the law of my mind, making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members.

Who does Paul talk about as he tries to explain law and grace?

Paul speaks of sin and how it makes him make the wrong choices and do what he does not want to do. Paul is talking about himself and how he is sinning.

The passage talks about how Paul is admitting that he has sinned and that he does not do what he wants to do but what he hates.

1 Corinthians 2:1-5

Proclaiming Christ Crucified

When I came to you, brothers and sisters, I did not come proclaiming the mystery of God to you in lofty words or wisdom. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and him crucified. And I came to you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling. My speech and my proclamation were not with plausible words of wisdom, but with a demonstration of the Spirit and of power so that your faith might rest not on human wisdom but on the power of God.

What does Paul say helped reveal the power of the spirit?

Paul reveals the power of the spirit by saying he chose not to know nothing among him except for Jesus Christ and him being crucified. He came to the spirit and said this he was in fear.

He also asked for his help in what to do.

2 Corinthians 12:7-10

even considering the exceptional character of the revelations. Therefore, to keep me from being too elated, a thorn was given to me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me, to keep me from being too elated. Three times I appealed to the Lord about this, that it would leave me, but he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.“ So, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities for the sake of Christ; for whenever I am weak, then I am strong.

Paul understands that in his grace the law that God has given him is visible.

Which of the intelligence is Paul using in these passages to help people understand God?

Paul used fear as his intelligence to face the fears of the spirit.

Whose need for proof does Jesus understand and accept?

Father Joy

Today,  September 26th we got to meet Father Joy for the first time. He told us he worked at two parishes in Edmonton, Alberta before coming to Vermilion. https://caedm.ca/ParishesMassTimes/StTheresaEdmontonhttps:

Father Joy, like the Apostle Thomas, is travelling from his country India to teach the Gospel.  The Apostle Thomas bought Christianity to the state of Kerala, India) in AD 52. Father Joy comes from the state of Kerala India.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_the_Apostle

Father Joy lived in the small state of Kerala, which is on the southwestern Malabar Coast of India.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/India

Kerala is the 23rd largest Indian state by area,  spread over 38,863 km2

Nova Scotia is the second-smallest of Canada’s ten provinces, with an area of 55,284 square kilometres

Father Joy said the church wanted to send him to Germany but he didn’t want to learn how to speak German. He agreed to come to Canada instead and learn English.

Father Joy had us do a breathing exercise as a class. He says it is a good way to clear your head and calm your body he says we should do this often, in the morning and at bedtime to relax us.

Father Joy is nowhere in Vermilion at the Holy Name  Catholic Church.

Now I will know who Father Joy is when we go to school masses.

Infinity Ring

After the explosion went off Dak, Sera, and Riq use the Infinity ring to travel to the Egyptian pyramid. When they got there they were stuck there. until they figured out a password with the ring. When they figured the password of the ring they saw they had to go to Spain in 1492. I wouldn’t have guessed a password in a couple minutes if I wasn’t sure I was right about the password. If I guessed I wouldn’t know if it would explode.

Infinity Ring

When Dak and Sera got back to Dak’s house there were agents called the SQ who came to their house to try and help Dak and Sera. Dak and Sera didn’t believe they were trying to help them get their parents back. SO Dak, Sera, and the agents went to the SQ headquarters to try and refix time. The SQ, Dak, and Sera are going to try to go back in time to fix the past that they did not like. When Dak and Sera got to the SQ they met people from the SQ headquarters they found a sixteen-year-old boy that knew how to Speak sixteen languages. After everyone met each other an explosion went off. I wouldn’t want to go back in time because I don’t want to change the past and the future.

Infinity ring

Sera and Dak went into Dak’s parent’s secret room and they were decoding a ring that would put you back in time. When Dak’s parents got home they weren’t happy. So they went back in time but ran into British soldiers so Dak had to use the ring to get out but Daks parents didn’t come back. I wouldn’t have gone into their secret room because i wouldn’t want to get introuble.

Knowledge

Based on my survey I have learned that I would be most successful in choosing a career using computers. It’s much faster to write using a keyboard and computers have spellcheck and grammar to help me out.  A computer is very helpful to get on to google and find help on how to fix anything and find answers to questions I don’t know. At times you find them frustrating while learning a new program. To gain more knowledge just use the computer to find out what you don’t know.

Motivations

I do my best work when someone is helping me and guiding me. I like it when I have support from my family, friends, teachers, and helper. I am more motivated more when I know that someone could help me along the way. I like it when I get work done and assignments completed on time. I think everyone likes to achieve goals.

A school class went on a trip. An earthquake happened two students had to save their class from dying on a school trip from an earthquake. We went to the lake this summer and on the way, grandpas trailer broke down and we had to help them bringing the boats and then going back to pick up grandma and grandpa.

Interest survey

Some of my interests are cars, especially lamborghinis. They are one of the most expensive, speedy and cool cars I know. I think I was meant to be a ‘finder of things”  I would love to walk the beaches of anywhere in the world with a metal detector. Just think of all the cool finds I would have! I have always liked basketball. I like to play it, watch it & read about it. Recently I joined Kuk Sool Won, which is a form of martial arts. My other interests are my cellphone, video games, cats and dogs.
