I had been reading the book called The Snow by Caroline B. Cooney. In my opinion I think that the book is very venturous and detailed. At the same time though its extremely weird and has many twists to it which makes it a bit interesting. When I first picked out “The Snow” and read the first chapter of it, I thought to myself that it wasn’t going to be worth reading but I decided to give it a chance.

The main plot to this book is quite complex to understand with all the crazy descriptive words added in the context in my opinion. It has the main character who has the name of Christina. She is shipped off to a boarding school up high on a hill near the coast where the waves are constantly smashing against the rocks. The school is called Schooner Inne. It was held up by a married couple with names of Mr. and Mrs, Shevvingtons. Christina thinks the Shevvingtons are out to destroy her at any chance they can get. The Shevvingtons are very sneaky though. The get everybody to believe that Christina is making everything up to get attention. Winter has also come with its scream crushing chill. Its hard for Christina to try and escape. She finds a solution to try and stop the Shevvingtons but has to go out into the cold to try and get it.

The book about The Snow can be very fascinating when I sit down and read it non-stop. It has an abundance of intense action featured in it. For example when Christina snuck out of the Schooner Inne to try and get people from there to believe her that the Shevvingtons are evil, she went to another area across the Singing Bridge. She was to sneak into the Shevvingtons office where there laid a briefcase with the evidence in it. Christina had been certain of this. So Christina was to go straight in and straight out without anyone seeing her. She accomplished it but while on her way out of the building a guard was right behind her. It wasn’t human though. This part in the story really intrigued me and made me want to keep on reading it.

The book is really great. I am still going to keep on reading it till the end hoping there is going to be even more mysterious mystery to it. If I were to recommend this book I would defiantly recommend it with its interesting setting.

Reading books daily in my life is very important. It is said that the more you read, your brain expands and even bigger vocabulary and also increases the level of smartness. Thats practically what reading is designed for. It is also a source of entertainment. The book can be either a happy or maybe even a book that you might cry over. Others you might find frightning. As for me, I just finished reading an interesting book called Spiral by K.L. Denman.

I find that the book Spiral is not that bad. In the beginning it starts off introducing the main character with the name of Abby. She explains with sarcasm how lucky she is to have a job and how it is almost impossible to get her boss to smile. One day her boss Ms. Trent ordered Abby to fix a lightbulb that was dull. Abby had climbed up onto a shelf because she could not reach using a ladder. The shelf started swaying and than began to fall. She had fallen backwards and broke her back. The doctors then tell her that she is crippled. To this conclusion I feel really sorry for what happened to Abby. Further on, Abby goes on into how she is sent to a rehab to learn how to live her life in a wheelchair.

I think that people are not use to getting along with a new routine in life, they decide to just give up. Abby decided to confront her boyfriend and break-up with him because she thinks she isn’t good enough for him. Abby also makes the choice to blow off a few friends. to me I find that extremely dumb just to dump people you really care for just because you are angry from a disability.

Drugs are something an individual should stay away from. Not only are they bad for you but they also affect your brain cells. Some people aren’t smart when it comes to peer pressure. Abby is one of the not so smart people. It started when an associate of hers named Jim pulled out a little plastic bag of powder. He also pulled out a straw. Abby, at first stared at the cocaine and thought to herself ” No I really shouldn’t” but another part of her thought “Why not?”. Jim toled her that the cocaine made their so called “crap life” a whole lot easier to handle. Abby of course falls into it and thinks the cocaine was incredible. In the end she realizes after the high she feels way worse then she started. She gets addicted to drugs and buys it off a dealer for a good hand of money. The end result is her little brother rats her out to his parents and tells she has been doing drugs.

In life there are many things that inspire us to keep going. One subject that inspired me to keep going in life, is my family. My family have supported me in many of the events in my life, they taught me to progress and achieve my goals. The main thing that inspired Abby to keep going on in her life was a horse named Charlie.

The book I had recently read was called Killing Britney. I found that this book was amazing and well written. Killing Britney by Sean Olin starts off slow but than turns out to be a very interesting book. The first few chapters tell you a portion of information that I don’t need to know really but I would have to read it and pay attention because between all the things I don’t need to know are a lot of things that make sense at the end of the book. As I read on, the twists and turns kept me guessing until the end. Just when Britney’s life is going unexpectedly well , and she has a lot of friends, and a good boyfriend everyone she cares about is starting to die and she doesn’t know what to do.

Britney thinks it is all her fault everyone is dying. Her popular hockey playing boyfriend dies from a hit and run. Everyone thought that Ricky’s death was an accident but britney was not convinced one bit. Then when everyone else starts dying, and Britney starts getting strange threats, people realize that is was not an accident. I was confused at first when it explained that Ricky had died but after reading on in the book I got teh understanding to it.

The way the characters are described is good but the way they talk is unrealistic. Britney is a young girl who feels that the whole world is out to get her. She’s not safe anywhere or with anyone. All the people close to her are dying every day. Britney’s mother died about two years before the book even started. It happened when she was at a water rafting trip. When I am reading on in the book I am able to experience what is all happening and every murder but the book never lets me no who exactly the murderer is. The clues lead you everywhere until the end when your told everything that you never expected.

I admit that at the beginning of this book I didn’t enjoy it the way I thought I would have. It was slow starting and the kind of language that was used isn’t used in every day life. But the book turned out to be a good murder mystery with intense action added in it. At points I felt like i was there or at least picturing it in my mind with the scenes described. If you are a murder mystery lover, than this is a great book for you. I love a good murder mystery, and I enjoyed it very much.
