This book was about a magical world of the House of Night, a world very much like our own, except here vampyres have always existed. Sixteen-year-old Zoey Redbird has just been Marked as a fledgling vampyre and joins the House of Night, a school where she will train to become an adult vampyre. That is, if she makes it through the Change – and not all those who are Marked do. The change from a human to vampyre takes about four years to complete. I  really enjoyed reading this book because it was such a thriller and it made me thirsty for more everytime I finished a chapter.

A part that I liked about this book wahttp://immortalfiction.files.wordpress.com/2009/03/hunted21024.jpgs when she gets marked. She never thought that she would be the one to get marked but then one day she did and from then on she knew that her life would never be the same as it was 2 minutes ago. She was scared what people would think of her with a half blue moon carved into her forehead. That people would say she’s a freak or a loser. She would have to leave her best friend, Kayla, who was human and move into the House Of Night, which is a private boarding school in Tulsa’s Midtown, known by all her friends as the Vampyre Finishing School, where she would spend the next four years going through bizarre and unnameable physical changes, as well as a total and permanent life shake-up.

Zoey didn’t want others to see how she changed, because of that reason. She knew people would look at her different. I once was scared to show the real me but as the years went on I realized that I am a unique human being with talents that God has givin to me.

I really recommend this book because it shows to never give up on yourself even if things get tuff. This book has showed me that it ok to be different. If you always believe in yourself then you will acheive.

http://www.wallpapergate.com/data/media/1968/Sisterhood_Of_The_Traveling_Pants_004.jpgOne of the books that I was reading was called Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants. This book was about how a pair of pants that magically fit all of the four best friends perfectly. When the four of them have to split up for the summer they use the pants to stay together by passing them to each other. I liked this book because it showed me that their friendship and the bond that they have is to great.

A part that I liked about this book was that the pants that they found fit all of them amazing even though they were all different sizes and height. First Tibby tries them on, they look great on her. Lena tries them, they look great on her too. Then Bridget takes her turn. The pants look different on her, and still great. Then Carmen squeezes them on. But these are magic pants. So the girls make a vow. The pants will travel with them all summer. Each girl will wear them then send them on to the next friend. I wish that me and my friends had pants like that so then we could always keep in touch when we spread apart.

The four characters in this book reminded me of my friends. The four girls and my friends are similar because they are completely realistic, strong, courageous people. Tibby Tomko-Rollins is similar to my friend Jolaine Timpano. I find them similar because they both like to stay close to home and try to make friends and families lives better. Bridget Vreeland is similar to Shelby Myshak because they both are very attracted to boys. Carmen is much like my friend Kalir Rochford. They are because when they were young their parents divorced. They have their mind of their own in everyway. I can relate myself to Lena because I love to travel just like she does, also because she traveled to spend time with her family.

I recommend this book because it really shows what true friendship is. These friends have been friends since little and they don’t want to say good-bye which is why they make a vow to send these pants. I think my friends would enjoy reading this book because its about girls our age that have a friendship as strong as ours.
