Isabella Swan lives in a small town in Forks that had a population of 300 hundred people and rarely had any crime rates. So who would have thought that in such a small town their could be so much mystery and conflict between Bella and Edward that wasn’t really their in Twilight. When I had finished this book I was a little sad that Jacob and Bella couldn’t be friends anymore because vampires and werewolves can’t stand each other because they both smell foul to each other since they both have very sensitive senses. Since Bella has such powerful feelings for Edward and only sisterly love for Jacob she had to make a choice of who she would rather be with so since she picked Edward, Jacob told her that they could no longer hang out with each other and be friends because she had made her choice of who she would rather be with. My reaction on this part was really outraged that Jacob made Bella make a choice like that because he should have know better then anyone that Bella would pick Edward because their love was so strong and that he had no reason to get mad at her decision because he had set himself up for losing Bella yet I still felt bad for him because making that decision not to see her anymore must have been hard.

New Moon starts out with Edward taking Bella out to his house for Bella’s 18th birthday party. After getting their and opening a present Bella gets a paper cut on the wrapper and Jasper only new to the costumes of the Cullen family tries to attack Bella only to be fronted by Edward who in order to keep Bella safe pushed her away into the class table which only proved to make things worse since now Bella got glass in her arm which made the bleeding worse and the smell of blood stronger. This causing the family except Carlisle, Edward and Alica to take themselves outside so that they wouldn’t hurt Bella. Once Carlisle got the glass out of Bella’s arm and stitched her arm up Edward took her home and stayed with her for the night only to make sure she was alright. After the incident it lead Bella and Edwards relationship down a horrible path only resulting in Edward breaking up with her and the family moving away to a different town. Leaving Bella heart broken and believing that their leaving was her fault since she’s just a weak human that means nothing to a bunch of powerful vampires. Months pass and still no word from the Cullen’s which leaves Bella life less and acting as if someone very close to her has died. Bella starts to act normal after going over to Jacobs to ask him if he’d be willing to fix some motorcycles for her and that she’d give him one in order for him to teach her how to ride. Jacob and Bella start to get closer to each other after many days they spend together on the bikes and some times just hanging out together without the bikes and Jacob starts to get feelings for Bella that she has herself but feels them towards him as only sisterly love and not anything else. When Bella is with Jacob she feels better and the whole in her heart left their by the Cullen’s leaving disappears when she’s with him and starts to wonder if she should be with Jacob because it’s not like Edward is ever coming back and she felt that Jacob was her safe harbor. The ending of this book though is with Bella and Edward back together and Bella having to decide who she wants to be with even though she wants to be with both of them they say it’s not possible and that she has to make a decision.

The consequence that Stephenie Meyer has written in this book for the characters is that she made it for Edward to make the choice not to be with Bella anymore so that left him depressed and truly soulless. In breaking up with Bella this left her uncaring about the world around her and ultimately live less as Charlie(her father) describes her as which left her to have to depend on Jacob to be their for her in her life so that she didn’t go back to being the zombie she once was. This left Jacob to grow feelings for Bella after spending so much time together that she can’t return because she’s broken and can’t be fixed. So in the end it turned out that Bella and Edward get back together since Edward always loved Bella just couldn’t be with her because he thought he was doing the right thing by leaving her to make her save. Which left Bella in a tight place because the werewolves and vampires where sworn enemies and the only reason the Jacob didn’t kill Edward and why Edward didn’t kill Jacob is because a few years ago their ancestors made a treaty that as long as the Cullen’s didn’t kill or bite a human they may live in peace. So Bella had picked Edward which left Jacob mad and hurt by this but Bella never gave up and thought that one day she was going to make it so that she could have them both. The consequence that was established is that Jacob ended up losing Bella because of what he was and Edward really didn’t suffer because he was the one that made the decision to leave Bella and yet in the end he ends up with Bella after asking for her to come back to him and for Bella the consequences she has to deal with is now she can’t be with Jacob after reliving that she to loves Jacob just in a different sense then what Jacob feels for Bella. So really the only people who are really suffering the consequence of Edwards decision to leave Bella are Bella herself and Jacob though this is only because they can’t seem to be happy without the other and since their both not happy because they aren’t with each other and can’t be friends this leaves them to feel depressed and even though Bella has Edward back she still isn’t giving up on Jacob and her being friends again.

The Legend of Sleepy hallow is about Ichabod Crane who is a school teacher that moves to a small little town called Tarry Town right after the Americian Revolutioary warthttth. The town is very old, was settled back long before the war, it has plenty old family settlements( farms, and the families that live on it) that moved there and never left. It was a beautiful town during the day but When it’s midnight that’s when scary things happen. Ghosts appear during the the night, but there is one that is the most heard of and scared of, “the headless horseman”. Ichabod was loved by everyone, but there was one girl he loved the most, “Katrina Van Tassel”. Her family was one of the wealthiest families in Tarry Town. Ichabod and Katrina spent most of their time together, but there was someone else who thought they belonged together, a young man, a Dutchman, Brom Bones.

who was a young and tough man, he despised Ichabod and played bad bad tricks on poor Ichabod. Ichabod ignored these pranks, one night there was a big party at the Van Tassel estate,Ichabod put on his nicest clothes and went. So When he arrived all he got think about was all the delicious food on the tables, after his belly was full he went dancing with Katrina then went to the porch to listen to the farmers and all their stories. He stayed after everyone left so he could to talk to Katrina, that was the worst thing he could have done. She said something to him that only those to knew, he left into the night, where he met up with the headless horseman and was never seen again. Some say that Brom told him to leave town for good, but some people even to this day still believe that the headless horseman got poor defenceless Ichabod Crane and kill him. The town people believe his ghost haunt the old school where he taught. I would recommend this book to kids that are between the age’s of eight to ten if they like ghost stories.

My Dog Buddy is about a dog that doesn’t listen to the parents but he listens to his best friend that looks to be like four. I recommend this book for a kid from kindergarten to grade 2, I do this because the words are big enough for a smaller kid to understand and read. My dog Buddy has an average of ten words per page and 150 to 250 words, and 15 pages. This book is a great learner book for a kid just starting to read

Kevin Sherry wrote a book about how the giant squid is the biggest fish in the ocean only to be eaten by a giant whale 10 times it’s size. This book is good for grades 2 and up depending on there reading level. If you like the under water life of the fishes then you will surely enjoy this book with all the different sizes and shapes of these fish in this book. This fish thinks that it’s the biggest fish you’ll even see and maybe it’s right until you reach the last couple of pages. Even though the squid gets eaten it still feels like it’s the biggest fish in the whale stomach. You can see that no matter the situation the squid still thinks it’s the biggest fish of the ocean.
