General Outcomes
Analyze graphs or charts of given situations to derive specific information.
Specific Outcomes
Outcomes 1.1 to 1.3 are exclusive to Applied Mathematics 20.
1.1 Extract information from given graphs of discrete or continuous data
1.2 Draw and validate inferences, including interpolations and extrapolations, from graphical and tabular data.
1.3 Design different ways of presenting data and analyzing results, by focusing on the truthful display of data and the clarity of presentation.
Addison-Wesley Applied Mathematics 11 Resource:
- Chapter 1 in Source Book
- Projects 1–6 in Project Book
- [To cover all of the specific outcomes in this topic, Project 1 must be completed.
- Approximate weighting 15–17%
