The Thorns are Many
May 5, 2009 on 4:56 pm | In Only Connect, Poems | 1 CommentThey all look some-what alike.
All the same height.
All the same fragrance.
There is one that stands out.
He looks rugged but is so graceful.
Such a combination.
Our differences dissolve.
Making us feel for one another.
He glances at me.
He says nothing and neither do I.
It is the beauty of union.
The resemblence for love.
I didn’t want to tell him how I felt.
All I do is give a smirk.
It’s better this way.
He won’t understand the thorns are many.
