Rosiness 0r Gloominess: On veiwing the world

We probably all have moments where we think we are gonna do very well and we end up failing. This can happen with a test that you think you studied hard enough for or a hockey game where you trained hard for. These types of things always happen in life but the question is why.

Success results from a combination of Talent and desire. If failure happens that means that you were missing one of those. Sometimes you could have those and still be unsuccesful. This means that you are missing optimism. Optimism is hopefulness and confidence about the future or the successful outcome of something. If you do not belive that you can do it you probably wont be able to.

For me whenever you think about how this test is going to be really hard and you aren’t going to pass you probably won’t. Last year when I was writing my math final exam I was so worried because I struggled with math and I thought the test was going to be really hard and I ended up getting in the forties which brought my overall mark down to a sixty five. The reason that I got this mark was because I didnt belive that I could do good on it. In lacrosse last year we played the best team in the league and we did’nt think we could do it and we talked down on ourselves so we ended up losing the game.

When we don’t have the optimism for something we fail. In our school so many of the students including myself lack optimism. There are lots of kids that have talents in our school and they have the desire to do something in life but the optimism is missing.

This is why we need to start to belive in ourselves and maybe we will be able to accomplish better things in life.

Dream House

There are many big, fancy, and amazing houses in the world. Sure I would like to live in one of those but honestly cleaning that thing would be hard and I really don’t want to pay a maid to clean my mess. There are smaller houses that would be good for three people and they are pretty fancy.

I would want my house by a lake so that it is really quiet and peaceful. A lake that I would really want my house to be at would be Lake Tahoe which is located between Calafornia and Nevada who both share its shoreline. It is crystal clear so you can see right to the bottom. I would love to wake up every day and go for a swim in that lake.

The inside of my house would have a living room, three bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining room, two bathrooms ( one in the master bedroom), and a few storage closets. All of the counters would be white marble and the cuboards would be painted white. All of the appliances would be white as well. All of the furniture( beds, couches, dressers, nightstands, tables, and coffe tables) would be white as well. The floor would look like wood and it would be gray.

On the outside all of the doors would be glass and the deck would just be made from wood. there would be a small pool and hotub in the front yard with a couple of lawn chairs. I would have a shop in the back to keep my boats, quads, and dirt bikes. I woul also have a sea-doo. In the back by the shop I would have a fireplace.

This is what my dream house would look like. I would have lots of white because when the light shines in through the windows it doesn’t show all of the dust as much as the darker colors do.

The Car of Your Dreams

There are a lot of vehicles that I really like and would be a dream for me to have. These include the 2019 Lambourghini Adventor and the 2020 Bughatti Chiron but there is one that I would want the most out of these cars. I really want a 2020 Ford Raptor. These trucks are really nice looking and there are many other cool feutures.

On the front of the truck there are large black letters that spell FORD on the grill. I think that this looks really nice on the truck. Even on the back there are the big black letters on the tailgate. I would also get my truck in a lime green wrap which is one of my favourite colors. I like how the truck doesn’t look weird like some of the newer trucks that have came out such as the 2019 Chevy Silverado pick up truck.

On the Raptor there is a Terain Managment System which is only on the Raptors. this includes seven different driving modes. There is normal, sport, slippery, tow/haul, deep snow, sand, baja, and rock crawl. This makes the truck easy to drive in pretty much any condition that we have.

They have interior features such as:

Identify a Good Read

Dan Stoggard is a thirty-eight year old college basketball player. He plays for the Algonquin Thunder. Dan was a bus driver and he gained a lot of weight. He decided to enroll as a freshman at Algonquin and soon later he joined the basketball team. He was a huge guy who weighed over three-hundred pounds and he wore size 14 jordans. The story “Is it ever too late to pursue a dream” talks about his college basketball career and the struggles he faced.

The quote “I spent a long part of my life not knowing what I wanted to do, or how I wanted to be perceived, or the legacy I want to leave behind,” is said by Stoggard. He proves that he wants to do something with his life. He is in his forties and he is putting a tremendous amount of pressure on his body. “Aging athletes have more time to accumulate injuries, and the compensations to their body are greater.” But their are good things he did with this like”he has also already lost nearly 150 pounds pounds in a 12-month period”

Joe Thomas Sr. made college football history by appearing as a running back for South Carolina State. Thomas at the age of 55 is believed to be the oldest player to participate in a Division I football game. This is another story of a middle aged person playing college sports. Dan Stoddard is younger than Joe Thomas Sr. but when he started was overweight which made this a lot harder on him.

I think that Dan stoddard should keep puruing his dreams but when his health is on the line I feel like that is a time to stop before a serious injury occurs. “I’d love to see where my body can take me,” he said. “But I’m also a realist. Trevor has told me I have a spot on the roster until I don’t want it anymore, but I know the toll it is taking on my body. I know the pain that will come, the possibility of knee and other problems. I just want to know if I am this close [to playing professionally] or this good now, how good would I have been at the age of twenty, if I was training every day? I can keep up with guys half my age — after another six months of training, am I going to be faster? Stronger? I want to keep seeing.” Dan talks about how basketball might affect his career.

I think Dan Stoddard is gonna keep proving people wrong and continue with his dreams. He may be in his forties but he can still use his effort and his determination to show people what he can do.
