The poem holds the meaning of one wondering what they’re leaving behind, not physically but spiritually and emotionally. Even in their memories, scared that it will all be forgotten with the house. I don’t believe that people can lose a piece of their non-physical body, their soul, personality, maybe as you move things change. Your once daily routine will change because of new schedule you might wake up earlier due to work or school. Your attitude changes with the places where you were once happy, could no longer be there. Like in ‘Inside Out’ it’s up to you to make the best, put your self out their great memories have been lost there, but you can make many new ones and better.
