Task 2

Section A

Summary: It is just like what path you want to take when you are older the good one or the bad one

Luke 10:38-42

Who sat at the Lord’s feet and listened to what he was saying.  Mary sat listening to the lord while Martha (mary’s sister) did work.  Martha wanted mary’s help to do the jobs but she was listening to Jesus.  Martha asked Jesus for his help to tell Mary to help her do her work but Jesus tells her that Mary chose the best choice, to listen to Jesus.

Mary was listening to Jesus but Martha was too distracted to listen. Martha wanted God to fix her problems but Mary would sit and listen to God rather than help Martha.

Mary chose to listen and learn to Jesus rather than Martha was distracted and did not want to listen to Jesus.

Mary listened to Jesus to what he had to say rather than help Martha.  I think Mary is going to do nothing to help and listen to God.

Summary: John 11:5-6   Lazarus grows ill and Jesus stays with him for 2 days while Mary and Martha leave.

Landan- Jesus loved them all and felt the need to stay longer for Lazarus because he was sick.

Jesus loved all three of them and felt the need to stay with Lazarus because he was very ill and the other two were not so he left them to stay with him.  He stayed two days longer so he was there for Lazarus.

Jesus’s attitude towards Martha, May, and Lazarus is that he loved them all and he even stayed two days because he was ill and didn’t want him to be alone.

Jesus loved Martha, Mary, and Lazarus and when he found out that Lazarus was ill he stayed for 2 days because he didn’t want to be left alone. /

Summary- John 11:20-22

Martha went to see Jesus and Mary stayed home.  Martha was then upset with Jesus because Lazarus had died.

Martha blames God for Lazarus dying. I don’t think that Martha has a good relationship with God or she wouldn’t blame him.

Martha’s faith is not based on logic was based on just her opinion, it would not make sense if someone is not there and someone dies that the person who is not there it’s their fault.

Martha’s faith was based on that she had lost trust in God and she blames him for letting Lazarus for dying.  I think she had a good relationship with him until he died and then now she doesn’t have a good relationship because of blaming him for letting Lazarus die.

Martha’s faith in the lord is based on her relationship with Jesus because she believes that if it was with her brother he wouldn’t have died and she had faith that if he stayed he wouldn’t have died.  Lazarus dies and Martha believes if Jesus stayed he would still be alive. Summary: It is just like what path you want to take when you are older the good one or the bad one

The Lord said back that he is slow of speech and tough and because Moses complained that he could not speak well, God appointed Aaron as Moses’ “prophet”. At the command of Moses, he took his staff. Then he stretched out his rod to bring on the first three signs.

It says that Moses isn’t the best and equal to everyone else. And he wants Jesus to speak to everyone doesn’t matter what’s wrong with them. And that will make his heart happy.

What is Aaron’s role?

Aaron’s role was to speak for Moses from Jesus.

Section F

Luke 5:4-11

When does Peter first begin to understand Jesus?

Answer: Peter started to understand Jesus when Simon and Peter pulled the nets full of fish into the boat and the boat started sinking.  Peter fell to his knees, saying that Jesus shouldn’t help him because he had sinned. Jesus said to Peter that he was forgiven and that He can teach them about His forgiveness.

Summary: The reading is taken from the well-known story of

Matthew 14:24-33

What does Peter do when he sees Jesus?

Jesus appeared to the disciples and said, “Take heart, it is I, do not be afraid”  Peter then answered Jesus and said, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water”. Peter did not react the same way as the other disciples that saw and feared Jesus.  Instead, Peter answered Jesus’ question and said, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” Jesus then said, “Come.” As Peter got out of the boat, he then started walking on the water and came towards Jesus. While Peter was walking towards Jesus, Peter noticed a strong wind, and began to sink he then cried out to Jesus, “Lord save me!” Jesus then immediately reached out his hand and caught him. Jesus then said “You of little faith, why did you doubt?”. When Peter sees Jesus he answers and follows him out onto the water.

Matthew 17:1-8

What does Peter suggest in this passage?

Peter suggests that these mountains are a great place to be, so he says he can make three dwellings for Jesus, Moses, and Elijah.  Peter suggests that these mountains are a great place because the sun lights up Jesus’ face like lanterns, and Jesus talks to them shortly after his clothes became dazzling white.

John 13:3-10

What does Jesus do?  How does Peter respond?

This passage is from the time around Jesus’ Passion.  Holy Thursday; when Jesus and His disciples are having the Last Supper in the upper room.  Jesus presents himself to his disciples as a servant and washes their feet in a basin. When Jesus offers to clean him, Peter responds in a stubborn manner, stating that unless Peter washes Jesus’ feet, Jesus can have no share with him.  Simon Peter continues to say that if Jesus is to clean His disciples, He should not only wash his feet but also his hands and his head.

Based on these passages, which of the intelligence does Peter often use to understand and respond to Jesus?

Based on these passages, I can infer that Peter responds to Jesus with interpersonal intelligence.  Interpersonal intelligence is knowledge derived from social interaction with other people. In the first passage, Peter displays great humility, but Jesus forgave Peter and offered to teach Peter of his great forgiveness.  This tells us that Peter knows Jesus would have some form of response to his actions, thus further confirming his knowledge of interpersonal intelligence. Passage two further develops Peter’s responses to Jesus. We read of Peter’s response to Jesus’ pleas for him to come out onto the water with him.  Peter comes as Jesus commands him. In passage three, Peter recognizes the presence of others and offers to make dwellings for them. Passage four shows another act of Peter’s humility, telling Jesus that his feet, hands, and head all need to be washed to really be clean.

Section G

Romans 7:14-23

The Inner Conflict

For we know that the law is spiritual; but I am of the flesh, sold into slavery under sin. I do not understand my own actions. I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. Now if I do what I do not want, I agree that the law is good. But in fact, it is no longer I that do it, but sin that dwells within me. For I know that nothing good dwells within me, that is, in my flesh. I can will what is right, but I cannot do it. I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I do. Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I that do it, but sin that dwells within me.

So I find it to be a law that when I want to do what is good, evil lies close at hand. For I delight in the law of God in my innermost self, but I see in my members another law at war with the law of my mind, making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members.

Who does Paul talk about as he tries to explain law and grace?

Paul speaks of sin and how it makes him make the wrong choices and do what he does not want to do. Paul is talking about himself and how he is sinning.

The passage talks about how Paul is admitting that he has sinned and that he does not do what he wants to do but what he hates.

1 Corinthians 2:1-5

Proclaiming Christ Crucified

When I came to you, brothers and sisters, I did not come proclaiming the mystery of God to you in lofty words or wisdom. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and him crucified. And I came to you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling. My speech and my proclamation were not with plausible words of wisdom, but with a demonstration of the Spirit and of power so that your faith might rest not on human wisdom but on the power of God.

What does Paul say helped reveal the power of the spirit?

Paul reveals the power of the spirit by saying he chose not to know nothing among him except for Jesus Christ and him being crucified. He came to the spirit and said this he was in fear.

He also asked for his help in what to do.

2 Corinthians 12:7-10

even considering the exceptional character of the revelations. Therefore, to keep me from being too elated, a thorn was given to me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me, to keep me from being too elated. Three times I appealed to the Lord about this, that it would leave me, but he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.“ So, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities for the sake of Christ; for whenever I am weak, then I am strong.

Paul understands that in his grace the law that God has given him is visible.

Which of the intelligence is Paul using in these passages to help people understand God?

Paul used fear as his intelligence to face the fears of the spirit.

Signs of Intelligence in the Bible

2 examples of the importance and/or value of musical intelligence:

  • They use music to help see the will of God and his plan for us. They also used music to show their respect and honor of God in alternative means.  1 Samuel 16:23- His music is helping to heal the soul of the people and ward the evil through the joint passion of music. He also helped him to see that music can connect people.
3 people who are word smart:
  • They are Moses, Aaron, and Philips. It says that Moses isn’t the best and equal to everyone else. And he wants Jesus to speak to everyone doesn’t matter what’s wrong with them. And that will make his heart happy.  Exodus 4:10-17, Acts 8:26-38

2 people who use logical intelligence:

  • They are Moses and Thomas

Exodus 18:13-27 People came to Moses to inquire about God. When they have a dispute, they come to me and I decide between one person or another and I make known to them the statutes and instructions of God. His father-in-law helped him.

2 people whose understanding of Jesus is rooted in the intelligence of relationships:

  • They are Peter and Simon

    Luke 5:4-11

Peter started to understand Jesus when Simon and Peter pulled the nets full of fish into the boat and the boat started sinking.  Peter fell to his knees, saying that Jesus shouldn’t help him because he had sinned. Jesus said to Peter that he was forgiven and that He can teach them about His forgiveness.

1 person who is self smart:
  • Paul, 1 Corinthians 2:1-5  it means that Paul used his fear as his intelligence to face the fears of the spirits.

3 passages that rely on spatial intelligence:

  • John 1: 3-9, Mark 13: 24-27, Ezekiel 1: 4-28.

Mark 13:24-27 This passage is about The Son of Man and about what will happen when he comes. 1 Samuel 16:23- His music is helping to heal the soul of the people and ward the evil through the joint passion of music. 1 person who uses physical intelligence to understand Jesus:

Martha, Martha: Jesus entered a certain village where Martha welcomed him into her home.   Luke 10:38-42    When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went and met him.

Commandments of the Church

There are the 10 Commandments as well as the Commandments of the Church. These Commandments include the following from Catechism of the Catholic Church:

  1.  You shall attend Mass on Sunday and on Holy Days of Obligation and rest from servile labor.
  2.  You shall confess your sins at least once a year.
  3.  You shall receive the sacrament of the Eucharist at least once during the Easter season.
  4.  You shall observe the days of fasting and abstinence established by the Church.
  5.  You shall help provide for the needs of the Church.

Another name for Commandments of the Church is Precepts of the Church, which are certain laws considered binding on the faithful. The history of these commandments are as early as the time of Constantine 1, this was put upon the obligation to hear mass on Sundays and Holy Days.

What the 5 Commandments of the Church that I wrote up at the top means are the first one means to go to Mass and on Holy Days which means you are committed to going to Masses on those days. Number 2 means that you should tell you sins that you have made to the Preist. Number 3 means you shall receive the sacrament At least once during or in the Easter season. Number 4 means you shall become aware of the days of fasting and abstinence established by the Church. Abstinence means restraining yourself from something. Number 5 means that you should help the needs of the Church.

Motivations

Today I did a survey in my blueprint about Motivations. The results after the survey said my top motivation factor is an achievement. Achievement is something that has been accomplished, achieved through effort, or the result of hard work. An example of this is if you are in a race for track and field and your achievement is to come in first then you need to put in some work and practice to get first and you will accomplish that achievement.

Achievement also means successful completion; accomplishment. So by this, that means if you study hard for something like a test and you want to be successful by getting 80s or 90s you have to study to accomplish that goal. A person whos motivation is achievements they look for ways to feel like they’ve done something. Achievers are motivated to fully engage the use of their unique skills, knowledge, and abilities to create a feeling of accomplishment.

In the survey, they had in the results a secondary motivation and mine was Independence. Independence means not controlled or influenced by opines, decisions, and conduct, etc. so an example of that is in school and you are doing a science project and you want to be by yourself because u have your own ideas about the project and you wanna work by yourself that is an example about being independent.

My Knowledge

In my Blueprint, after I did the survey on Knowledge, it showed me what my top subject area is and it is Physical Education then the second was Creative Arts and the third one was Science. Physical education courses help you understand and appreciate a healthy and active lifestyle. Topics may include Sports, Wellness, and Health Sciences. My second subject that the results said was Creative Arts. Art courses help you develop artistic abilities, techniques, and practice. Topics may include Visual Arts, Music, Dramatic Arts. The third subject it said was Science. Science courses help you develop your understanding of basic scientific concepts and how they relate to other parts of your life. Topics may include Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

In my design on Canva of my Knowledge, I put Physical Education and on the picture that I was designing on it I put a picture of a running shoe because running and exercising is a way to stay healthy. Aso on the picture I put one picture of a water bottle because in order to stay hydrated when exercising and staying healthy drinking water is healthy for you and the best fluids to drink when staying healthy.  I also put a picture of weight on my Canva because if you are staying fit and healthy building your muscles and staying strong is a good and important thing to.

Interests

After the survey, the results said, I’m the specialist (CR). The (CR) beside the specialist stands for conventional, realistic. Conventional means they focus on information and the tools required to analyze, organize, and understand information. They also include activities such as creating plans, processes, and routines.  Realistic, means realistic occupations involve practical, hands-on activities. They focus on working with plants, animals, materials, tools, and, machines. Some of these both Realistic and Conventional things describe me but some of them don’t.

On my canvas poster, I put pictures that interest me and those are Hockey, Quading, and Fishing there are more but those are the ones I put on the poster. I put Hockey on because I have been playing hockey for a long time and I really love the sport. I also put Fishing because I love Fishing it is like one of my favorite things to do in the summer. I put a picture of a Quad on there as well because I love Quading and just driving the Quad.

The 10th Commandment

The 10th Commandment: “you shall not covet” which means that anything that is your neighbors you shall not desire for or greed for.  God wants us to help “the poor” and the “poor in spirit”.  Matthew 5:3-10 and Luke 6:20-26 say this saying in both of these passages about helping “the poor” and the “poor in spirit” which means we must be humble in our spirits. An example of a “good desires” would be wanting to help or to give back like if you are going through your clothes in your closet and you come across a lot of clothes that you don’t wear anymore giving them to people that can’t afford new clothes.  Our school can help by like having food drives to help the poor with having food. Our community can hold suppers for the poor to help feed. The province can help and give clothes that people in the provence don’t use to people that need. The country can also help donate more things like money and other stuff to.

Personality

In the survey results, there are types of sides like energy, information gathering, decision making, and lifestyle and structure. In the survey it made me answer some questions about my personality and things. After you are finished the survay they have a part where you can view your results about what kind of personality you have. How that works is there is on one side like as an example for the Energy one there is on one side Extraversion and on the other side, Intraversion and the one you are the circle on the slider will be closer to one of them to names. There is 4 categories.
