The Adventurous life of John Goddard: Responding to the profile

A) When someone is inspired or motivated to do something usually they wont stop try to accomplish that task until it is achieved. Almost anything can motivate a person into wanting to sit down one day and write a list of all the different adventures they want to experience or the variety of different activities they want to be a part of before they get old. These type of activities could be as dangerous as swimming with sharks, or skydiving or even as simple and content as visiting your relatives in another country. Motivation is one of the biggest things that people don’t realize they experience, whether it be getting motivated to get out of bed in the morning or motivated to become a part of a special event for someone. John was motivated by a man that said he wished he was as young as John was at 15 again, so that he could do all the things he never did the first time. A very important motivational saying was said by a motivational speaker by the name of Eric Thomas, he said “ When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breath, then you will be successful.“

B) If I were to imagine my life at sixty four I would probably not be as active as I am now being   sixteen but it would probably be because I would no longer have the energy or capability to be that active, I would want to be relaxing and enjoying the time I have after the retirement, get to relaxing after teaching elementary student for however many years. Relaxed in a quiet place with no interruptions at all. I would hope that I would still a little active but you never know, anything can happen in the life span of 16 to 64.

C) Ten things I would like to accomplish before i’m forty:

  • Travel the world
  • Go skydiving
  • Swim with dolphins
  • Buy a car
  • Go on a trip with friends
  • Graduate high school on honour roll
  • Get my Bachelor of Education degree
  • Become an elementary teacher
  • Get married
  • Have kids

D) Even though I would love to travel the world, live a life of far-off adventure by myself, I feel like i wouldnt be able to do that to my family. Just like most people my family means the world to me, my parents, sibling, aunts, uncles, cousins and everyone else I would not want or I could not just leave them all behind and live the adventurous life, one where I don’t keep in contact or get to hang out with my family once in awhile, attend family reunions, christmas parties with them. I would miss them all to much. I would miss doing easter egg hunts with all the dozens of adorable  younger cousins I have, I would miss seeing the family that I haven’t seen since I was a child. I couldn’t do that, I would rather live a life of staying in one place with all my family and friends forever.

E) I would say of all the goals listed in this story, the one that I think would be the easiest to accomplish would to becoming an eagle scout because come on all you have to do is convince your parents to pay for it and let you go and then you just have to have enough inactive or enthusiasm to participate in the actives and the more you participate and be patient the easier it would be. I think that the hardest task or goal that is listed in the text would be probably retracing the travels of of Marco Polo and Alexander the Great because they traveled all around exploring different places and there might still be places that are unknown to us now that they would have traveled which means it would be very hard for someone to retrace the travels of those two explorers who we don’t even know if the travels documented where complete or if there were places they traveled that we did not know about.
