The awful of the unsolved riddles of existence

When we were watching Fr. Mike, he had talked about that we should always be questioning everything with a warning and if we stop doing that we will never understand anything and we probably will be lost. You need to be always asking questions and the Truth of those questions to the right and the wrong.  The riddles that are unsolved you get to ask yourself and you get to make your idea or thought on them and how you feel about it. When you are doing it you really need to find the deep meaning of what it is trying to say. So here are some of the things that I am questioning.

Should you ever tell a lie?

Do you think you should lie? Do you think it is ok to lie for something for what is happening or no? In what I am thinking it is never ok for me or someone else to lie for them or myself but to be honest with you I have lied and I am sure everyone has once or twice in their life. From experience I can ensure you, Lying might feel like the right thing to do at the time but after a bit, it starts to kinda knit at you and it should. If it doesn’t knit at you then to me I really don’t think you have much of a heart or care how it might affect someone else. If you just tell the truth right from the start, sure you might get in trouble at the begging but then, in the end, you can forgive yourself and you might even feel proud that you had the guts to say the whole truth and nothing other then the truth. So for me that is why I think telling the truth is better than lying and hurting other people along the journey.

Is it important that you can speak and write so you can be understood?

The meaning of this is not asking if you should just write about random stuff and ideas that make no sense. It is asking or telling you that you should write about how you feel and speak your mind when you know that someone or something isn’t right and the way that is right or you think is right is told and heard. If you are afraid of saying what is right then you will never be heard of what you think about ideas about the world and no one will probably ever ask you. For example, when people make signs and walk around and let everyone see them they are the people that are not scared of what people think of them, they just want their voice to be seen and heard. You should never let anyone tell you what you can and cannot believe and in my thinking, if you are too scared to voice your opinion, then you are probably not very sure or confident in it. Once when I was little and I was getting in trouble I didn’t do it and I had voiced my opinion and when I had told them that it wasn’t me and I made profit and I was then not in trouble and the reason for was because I wasn’t afraid to tell someone that they were wrong.  so make sure that you write and or speak so that you are being heard and understood.

Do we control technology or does technology control us?

Well, it doesn’t sound too hard to figure out if you just thought about it for a second but if you look deeper into it then you start to wonder who controls who. Technology is one of the best things that has ever been created on this earth. Everything that we have like a car to phone and even buildings are all technology. If we didn’t have the technology then we wouldn’t have the majority of anything that is on this earth and it would be like we are living in the 18 hundred’s again. Try to imagine if we didn’t have technology just for one whole day. It said like it would be easy but I think over half of the population couldn’t do it because we are so tight with technology. Think about it. Do you spend more time with people talking in person or over a screen? For me, what I see is that even when two people are in the same room they still talk to each other by technology. We as humans created technology but in my opinion, technology nowadays owns us and for a very long time it will still own use. Technology has taken over this world. For example, in the last fifty years, combines were outdoors and you had to do everything from today’s combines and they do everything without a human even being in a cab. So yes, I do think that technology has control overuse but I do not agree or like it at all.

You will always have a question that you can ask and you have to ask it. You always before saying anything about it you need to have an opinion on it and how you really feel about the whole thing.  So never stop asking questions or being curious or wanting to know something because everything that you will ever know is from asking questions and spreading the word.

Luke 10:38-42 Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet and listened to what he was saying.  Mary sat listening to the lord while Martha (mary’s sister) did work. Martha wanted mary’s help to do the jobs but she was listening to Jesus.  Martha asked Jesus for his help to tell Mary to help her do her work but Jesus tells her that Mary chose the best choice, to listen to Jesus. Mary was listening to Jesus but Martha was too distracted to listen. Martha wanted God to fix her problems but Mary would sit and listen to God rather than help Martha.

John 11:5-6   Lazarus grows ill and Jesus stays with him for 2 days while Mary and Martha leave. Jesus loved them all and felt the need to stay longer for Lazarus because he was sick. Jesus loved all three of them and felt the need to stay with Lazarus because he was very ill and the other two were not so he left them to stay with him.  He stayed two days longer so he was there for Lazarus. Jesus’s attitude towards Martha, Mary, and Lazarus is that he loved them all and he even stayed two days because he was ill and didn’t want him to be alone. Jesus loved Martha, Mary, and Lazarus and when he found out that Lazarus was ill he stayed for 2 days because he didn’t want to be left alone.

John 11:20-22 Martha went to see Jesus and Mary stayed home.  Martha was then upset with Jesus because Lazarus had died. Martha blames God for Lazarus dying. I don’t think that Martha has a good relationship with God or she wouldn’t blame him. Martha’s faith is not based on logic was based on just her opinion, it would not make sense if someone is not there and someone dies that the person who is not there it’s their fault. Martha’s faith was based on that she had lost her trust in God and she blames him for letting Lazarus for dying.  I think she had a good relationship with him until he died and then now she doesn’t have a good relationship because of blaming him for letting Lazarus die. Martha’s faith in the lord is based on her relationship with Jesus because she believes that if Jesus was with her brother he wouldn’t have died and she had faith that if he stayed he wouldn’t have died. Lazarus dies and Martha believes if Jesus stayed he would still be alive.

Romans 7:14-23 Who does Paul talk about as he tries to explain law and grace. Paul speaks of sin and how it makes him make the wrong choices and do what he does not want to do. Paul is talking about himself and how he is sinning. The passage talks about how Paul is admitting that he has sinned and that he does not do what he wants to do but what he hates.

Exodus 4:10-17 Moses told the Lord to pardon his servants because he has never been eloquent not in the past or since he spoke to them. The Lord said back that he is slow of speech and tough and because Moses complained that he could not speak well, God appointed Aaron as Moses’ “prophet”. At the command of Moses, he took his staff. Then he stretched out his rod to bring on the first three signs. It says that Moses isn’t the best and equal to everyone else. And he wants Jesus to speak to everyone doesn’t matter what’s wrong with them. And that will make his heart happy. What is Aaron’s role? Aaron’s role was to speak for Moses from Jesus.

Acts 8:26-38 The angel told Philip to go south to the road that leads from Jerusalem to Gaza. There he would worship Candace, queen of the Ethiopians. Philip is taken by the Holy Spirit to meet a highly placed Ethiopian court official who is reading Isaiah on the way home from Jerusalem. The Ethiopian asks for and receives baptism as a believer in Jesus as God’s Messiah, promised by Isaiah.

It’s about he said to go to the road south of Jerusalem go to court official of the cadence queen of the Ethiopians. He came to Jerusalem to worship and return home he was reading the prophet, Isaiah. He had Philip help him understand the bible. And taught him the good news about Jesus. They found water and said what is to stop him from getting baptized and they stopped and Philip baptized him. Who are the two people in this story? Philip and Eunuch Why does one of them choose to be baptized?.

As they were going along the road, they came to some water; and the eunuch said, ‘Look, here is water! What is to prevent me from being baptized!“He commanded the chariot to stop,” and both of them, Philip and the eunuch, went down into the water, and Philip baptized him.

John 1:3-9 – Jesus is described as the beginning of life and all-new creation. Without him, nothing would have been created. There would be no light to overcome the darkness.  John was sent by God to prove to people that he is true.

Mark 13:24-27 – Jesus describes the world in chaos, with the sun going dark. Then he says he will come in his glory, and bring light back to the world. If you’re in the dark, Jesus can bring the light back.

Ezekiel 1: 4-28 – Ezekiel uses images to help understand God.  Ezekiel explained what he saw. He told about the four creatures,  that they had four different heads, and they had 2 wings each. He said they walked in a line with their wings touching and went with the spirit, never turning. Ezekiel also explained about the clouds and wind the creatures were surrounded by.

Exodus 18:13-27

What is Moses’s problem? Moses can’t inquire people about God by himself, he needs help from other people. Who helps him solve it in a logical step by step way? Moses’s father-in-law helps him. His father-in-law helped him.

When does Peter first begin to understand Jesus? Peter started to understand Jesus when Simon and Peter pulled the nets full of fish into the boat and the boat started sinking.  Peter fell to his knees, saying that Jesus shouldn’t help him because he had sinned. Jesus said to Peter that he was forgiven and that He can teach them about His forgiveness.

Matthew 14:24-33

What does Peter do when he sees Jesus? Jesus appeared to the disciples and said, “Take heart, it is I, do not be afraid”  Peter then answered Jesus and said, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water”. Peter did not react the same way as the other disciples that saw and feared Jesus.  Instead, Peter answered Jesus’ question and said, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” Jesus then said, “Come.” As Peter got out of the boat, he then started walking on the water and came towards Jesus. While Peter was walking towards Jesus, Peter noticed a strong wind, and began to sink he then cried out to Jesus, “Lord save me!” Jesus then immediately reached out his hand and caught him. Jesus then said “You of little faith, why did you doubt?”. When Peter sees Jesus he answers and follows him out onto the water.

Matthew 17:1-8

What does Peter suggest in this passage? Peter suggests that these mountains are a great place to be, so he says he can make three dwellings for Jesus, Moses, and Elijah.  Peter suggests that these mountains are a great place because the sun lights up Jesus’ face like lanterns, and Jesus talks to them shortly after his clothes became dazzling white.

1 Corinthians 2:1-5  What does Paul say helped reveal the power of the spirit? Paul reveals the power of the spirit by saying he chose not to know nothing among him except for Jesus Christ and him being crucified. He came to the spirit and said this he was in fear. He also asked for his help in what to do.

2 Corinthians

Paul understands that in his grace the law that God has given him is visible.  Which of the intelligence is Paul using in these passages to help people understand God? Paul used fear as his intelligence to face the fears of the spirit.

2 examples of the importance and/or value of musical intelligence are that it can heal the soul and you are able to recognize different pitches. 3 people who are word smart are Ezekiel because he uses images and explains what Jesus looks like. Another person is Mary because she was a good writer. The last person is Paul. Paul is word smart because he understands the law and he is smart about stuff like reading and writing. 2 people that use logical intelligence are Ezekiel because he can put pictures with words and study them and the second one is Ezekiel uses images to understand god. She expanded to god the animals had different heads and when they walked they touched their wings with there spirit. Ezekiel also expanded about the clouds that the animals were surrounded by.  Matthew 17:1-8, Ezekiel 1: 4-28, Acts 8:26-38 are all passages that talk about spatial intelligence.

Commandments of the Church

There are 10 commandments but there is an additional five that are just from the Catholic Church.  In Canada there are two holy days of obligation sometimes do not fall on a Sunday and those two days are Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God and Christmas.  For the first one, it says that you should attend Mass every Sunday and on Holydays of obligation t rest.  The next one says that you shall confess your sins at least one’s a year and what that is trying to tell us is that we should go get forgiveness from the Lord and get rid of everything bad and start over.  You shall receive the sacrament of the Eucharist at least once during the Easter season.  It says you shall take the body and blood from christ during the time of Easter which is Lent and consider and to remember what he did for us so that we could live life.  You shall observe the days of fasting and abstinence established by the Church.  It tells us that we should be giving up something that we like and crave and give it up for a bit because Jesus went without food for forty days out in the desert so we should be able to g without one kind of food for that period of time as well.  And the last Church Commandment is you shall help to provide for the needs of the Church.  This one I don’t really understand but what I think it is telling us is that we should be helping the church in any form or way that it needs so that it will be successful in the end and it will a nice place to be.

Fr Joy’s first visit

Today I got to meet our new Priest and his name is Father Joy.  From what I got to know about him this morning he is a really nice and pleasant person to be around.  He came to Canada in 2017 and he said it was a big change from where he came from and that was India.  He was amazed by how open and nice people are in Canada but he probably doesn’t like the weather that much as to Indias whether because he said were he grew up it got up to 50 degrees in the summertime.  We did a small activity with him today and it was lots of fun and it made me really relaxed.  We had Father Rogers before Father Joy and even though I miss Father Rogers I think Father Joy is really going to make a good fit here in The Holy Name Jesus Parish in Vermilion.

Father Joy’s sister is a Nun back in Kerala, India.  When he was only in grade 5 his sister left to go to become a nun and that really inspired him and he said that he likes helping others and said being a Priest was perfect for him.  He has worked at church in Edmonton St. Theresa and now he gets to work in Vermilion as are leading Priest and show us the way.  were he comes from the province is smaller than Nova Scotia but more people live in that one province where he is from than the whole country of Canada. I am really excited to get to know him and hope he likes it here with us.

Motivation is very important because when you are motivated it means you are determined to do anything to make it work.  On my survey, it said for my first one Support.  I would have to agree because when you are working or playing sports it is good to have the support and having support can really help when you are going through a rough time.

Support is also when you are needing help with something that you just can’t figure out and it really helps when someone is there to give you a hand when needed.  I am motivated to help and support people when needed and I am really motivated on doing that in the future.  Motivation is the key to everything you do because if you are not motivated while doing something you will not try your very best and it will not be as good because when you are motivated you try your very best and it is way better.

On the survey my second one is Independence.  Independence is good for me and everyone in the world.  If you are independent you can do things on your own without getting help ever couple minutes and figure things out for yourself.  when I am working or playing sports I like to be left alone and figure it out for myself because when I leave school everything you do will be needed to figure out on your own and without any help.  Independents mean free and when you are free it feels so good because you get to do whatever you want without getting told what to do by others.

There are some ideas of what motivates me and that is why motivation is the key to whatever you do like being a support to others or even to yourself or being independent and those two things really motivates me.

I enjoy most of the subjects I do but if I was to choose one it would be Math.  I would choose math because I enjoy numbers and really for anything you do when you leave school you will definitely need math.  I am passionate about math because I like to figure out problems and solve them and I am all about facts and that is what math is about facts.  When I get older I want a job the requires me to do math and some of those jobs could be a Financer or a Banker or even a Carpender. There are plenty of jobs the requires math and those jobs would the job for because I don’t just like math I am also pretty swell at it.   On my blueprint survey after answering all the questions, it tells me that Business would be the way to go and I would have to agree with it because I like math and business requires math.  Business can take you a long way in society because if you know how a business runs you can understand what needs to be done and what you can improve so you can get a better profit or just to make more money.  Someday I hope to run my own business and that business to be successful.

The Ten Commandments

1. I am the LORD your God:
you shall not have
strange Gods before me.

You shall put me first before any other Gods.

2. You shall not take
the name of the LORD your God in vain.

You shall only use the Lord’s name in prayer.

3. Remember to keep holy the LORD’S Day.

You shall not skip church on the Lord’s Day.

4. Honor your father and your mother.

You shall not swear at your father or mother

5. You shall not kill.

You shall preserve human life.

6. You shall not commit adultery.

You shall be with the person you have chosen.

7. You shall not steal.

You shall respect the things you have.

8. You shall not bear false witness
against your neighbor.

You shall tell the truth of others or say nothing at all.

9. You shall not covet
your neighbor’s wife.

You shall want what you have and be happy with it.

10. You shall not covet
your neighbor’s goods.

You shall enjoy and respect what you have and be your own person.

There are lots of things that interest me and I will tell you about some of them.  I like to play all kinds of sports and I like to be active.  I don’t like sitting inside playing video games because to me it is just a waste of time.  I am a very realistic person when something is possible and needs to be done do it don’t put it off and say I will do it another day go and get it done.  I like to busy, I don’t like when I have nothing to do.

The 10th Commandment

When you read the two readings one from Mathew and the other from Luke it tells use those people that are poor or that are just making it through that they will get everything when they are in Heaven and that the people that are rich should not be spending all their money on useless things but help the people that don’t have as much and to give back to them.  When you have some food that you just will never eat go give it to a food donation place so the people that don’t eat get to have a meal that day and when you do that you will feel very glad that you did so because at the end of the day you know that you helped people and that is a good deed.  For the School, We hold the fall supper that is a fundraiser for the school and it a really nice event.  We should be helping people more often then we do and get them what they need.

I like to have lots of fun when it is the right time but when it is time to get to work I work.  I am a person that likes to help others when they need help and always willing to give someone a hand when they are stuck.  I will never say no when I am asked to do something and when I do something I do it to the best of my ability as possible.  I am also a very open minded person and am always looking to make new friends.
