My visual about the beatitudes is to imagine all the things in life that we are blessed with. I think about all of the beautiful things that are on this earth and how we get to live right by them. I remember that Jesus died on the cross for us and how blessed we are to have him. We have a God that loves us no matter what and is always there for us. We are blessed to have the family we have and the love they give us. Our eyes are blessed with the wonders of our world. We get to see fantastic sights right in front of our eyes. We can smell the delicacies that God has gifted us with. There is food all around us growing everywhere so that we never get too hungry. We are blessed to have people and God in our lives who can comfort us in times of need. We are blessed that God is merciful and everyone can be forgiven. We are blessed to have a place to go after we die which makes death less scary.

The Ideal Concert

Imagine getting to actually experience the best day of your life. The best day of your life is magical and will never be forgotten. Imagine seeing your favourite singer perform, with you up there with them. Getting to talk to them one on one and in the setting you always dreamed of. It could be anything you could ever wish for and at no cost.

Imagine walking through a waterfall and when you get through there’s thousands of people and they all start cheering. You get carried by the crowd to the front of the stage. The lights are flashing, bright and colorful. The floor is wet from the splashing of the water. You can only hear the screaming of all the fans. You get dropped onto the humongous stage. The stage, made out of pure diamonds, glistens in the flashing lights. All of a sudden the crowd goes quiet. You look behind you and see your favourite singer being brought down from the ceiling. They land on the stage and look at you. All of a sudden music starts playing and they start singing your favourite song. You get to be with them on the stage and sing along right beside them. You’re sweating from dancing so much but you don’t even care because you’re living out your dream. The song ends and you both jump into the crowd. The crowd carries you all the way out back through the sparkling waterfall. It’s quiet out there and it’s just you and your favourite singer. You give them a hug and thank them for everything that happened today. They sign your shirt, give you one last hug, and disappear back into the waterfall.

The day you had always dreamt of finally happened and you will have that memory forever which is one of the best parts.

Who Am I Motivation

My top motivation factor is achievement. This means I want the chance to put my skills, knowledge and abilities to the test. I need to feel like I’ve accomplished something, maybe even something that will stand the test of time. My secondary motivation is support. This means I agree with or approve of someone, sometimes showing approval or support through action.

Achievement is something that has been accomplished, achieved or completed through effort. It’s successful completion; accomplishment. When driven by achievement, I look for ways to feel like I’ve done something. Whether it’s checking something off my to-do list every day or saving the environment, I’m motivated by the opportunity to fully engage the use of my unique skills, knowledge and abilities. I look for opportunities that let me put my talents into play and that allow me to feel like I’ve accomplished something, whether it’s at the end of each day or after years of hard work. Achievement always requires effort – sometimes huge effort – but the completion of a task, goal or project will make the effort worthwhile. When looking for jobs I’ll look for opportunities where I get to make use of my various skills and abilities and where I get to feel like I’ve accomplished something.

Support is to agree with or approve of someone, sometimes showing approval or support through action. To give help or assistance to someone and to promote interests or causes. A keystone adds the support that an arch needs in order to do its job, bearing weight. Like an arch, when given support, I gain additional tools that can help me perform my tasks at an even higher level of excellence. Support can come in many forms. Emotional and moral support can help me work through difficult times or difficult decisions. Training, education, job-shadowing, and mentoring are forms of support that can give additional experience or knowledge. Support can also come in the form of a physical resource such as computer software or hardware, state of the art equipment, a lunchroom or even a slide in the office. When at work, having the support of my manager(s) is also something I value.

I understand why I got these motivations and I believe that they are right for me. When driven by achievement, I look for ways to feel like I’ve done something. I agree with or approve of someone, sometimes showing approval or support through action.

My Interest Type

My interest type is a pioneer. My two primary interests are artistic and investigative. I’ve always wanted my job to be something I want to do and not something I have to do. Investigating things that I’ve never heard of or are interested in is something I’ve always been interested in.

Artistic is my highest interest with 77%. Artistic occupations involve self-expression, creativity and usually work that can be done without following a clear set of rules.

Investigative is my second highest interest with 71%. These occupations involve working with concepts, information and scientific theories. Curiosity, reasoning, logic, research and analysis are typical activities in Investigative occupations. I love to watch investigation shows on TV.

I’ve always been interested in starting my own business or doing something that is not boring so I understand why I got artistic. Investigating things that I’ve never heard of or are interested in is something I’ve always been interested in so I understand why I got Investigative.

I enjoy socializing, I feel more energized when I’m around people. I’m also very comfortable being by myself and prefer to work alone sometimes. In class I don’t raise my hand a lot, but if called on i’ll answer the question.

Being sensing I like to collect data and present it in a concrete orderly fashion. I’m good at explaining things in an organized way. I like to have all the details for things. I’m very systematic.

My Learning Style

I like to learn by looking, seeing, hearing and listening. By looking and seeing I can remember what we learned in class by having an image in my head. By hearing and listening I can remember what the teacher was saying.  I like to have my binders and notes organized. When studying I like to have a study guide. During studying I sometimes like to read my notes out loud and take breaks. I remember things from remembering the vision in my brain, I also remember from hearing the teacher talk aloud.

I’m 37% a visual learner which is my highest percentage. Being a visual learner means you learn by looking and seeing. I like to keep notes of things in my head that I had seen. I like to have my binder and notes organized so I can easily find things I need. I like to highlight the important parts of notes.

I’m a 34% auditory learner which is my second highest percentage. Being an auditory learner means you learn by hearing and listening. When studying I like to read my notes aloud. When a teacher is instructing work I make sure I am listening so that I understand what to do. When I’m done studying I usually get a family member or a classmate to quiz me.

I’m a 29% kinesthetics learner which is my lowest percentage. Being a kinesthetics learner means you learn by touching and doing. I like to study in short blocks of time and give myself breaks. I understand why this is my lowest because I don’t really like to answer questions in class and I’m for the most part silent.
