The Rutherford scholarship is pretty easy to get since it does not require you to do anything extra that’s outside of your school course.
It is to recognize and reward academic achievement of senior high school students and encourage them to pursue post-secondary studies.
To receive this scholarship, you must also meet all of these eligibility criteria: Be a Canadian Citizen, a Permanent Resident of Canada or Protected Person under
Canada’s Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, Have completed high school on or after September 30, 1980, Be enrolled in a full course load in a designated post-secondary or an apprenticeship program of at least one semester in length and Be an Alberta resident.
If your marks are above 75%, you will get $300 in grade 10, $500 in grade 11 and $700 in grade 12. If you get over 80% you will get $400 in grade 10, $700 in grade 11 and $1300 in grade 12.
