Artisan Bread

Before we got to bake the bread dough Corbin and I made the dough so it could sit overnight. First to make the bread dough we mixed all our dry ingredients together. We put 6 1/2 cups of all purpose flour then the 11/2 tbsp of active dry yeast. For the last of the dry ingredients we added 1 1/2 tbsp of salt. Then we mixed all them together.

After we finshed we added 3 cips of luke warm water to activate the yeast.  Then we put the dough in the mixer and mixed it for a few minutes.

After we finshed mixing it up we left the dough in the mixer bowl and put a wrap on the top and punched a few holes in the top and left it in the kitchen overnight so the dough would rise and have big air bubbles.

The next day we where going to bake the bread. We carefully took it out of the bowl and made sure we didn’t handle it too much so the air bubbles wouldn’t pop. We cut the dough into 3 different pieces for each member in my group. Then we carefully made our dough into balls and put fancy cuts on the top.

Then we baked the bread in 450 degrees for 30 minutes.

After we took them out of the oven we cut the bread to make grilled cheese. So we buttered the bread and put cheese on in and put it in the frying pan.
