God loves us every day. He put us into this world, and he created us to trust him, to pray, and to be merciful. I chose the line, “Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy”. This line contributes to all God has done for us throughout our lives. He forgives us for what we have done wrong, and for when we have sinned against him. I put the person by the cross, praying to the cross as a sign of forgiveness from God. When Jesus was on the cross, he forgave the people who put him there, the people who tortured him while he was carrying our sins along with the cross. The story of Jesus doesn’t just help us to understand forgiveness, it helps us to show forgiveness for what he had done for us. The cross shows us that if we pray for God’s mercy, he will forgive us for everything we have done. God shows us how to be merciful, he helps us to be merciful, because as long as we forgive, we will receive mercy from God.
