My top motivation is recognition. This means the acknowledgement of achievement, service, merit, etc.; often in the form of some token of appreciation. Formal acknowledgement that conveys approval or endorsement. I want the recognition that comes with a job well done. I value the respect, admiration and approval of the people around me. Wherever I choose to work, I want opportunities that can lead you to promotions and eventually to leading others.
My second motivation is achievement. Something that has been accomplished, achieved or completed through effort; the result of hard work. Successful completion; accomplishment. When I’m driven by achievement, I look for ways to feel like I’ve done something. Whether it’s checking something off my to-do list every day or saving the environment, Achievers are motivated by the opportunity to fully engage the use of their unique skills, knowledge and abilities. I don’t care what the task is, I will push myself to the limit to get it done. It doesn’t matter if it is for a trophy or just a medal, I will complete it sooner or later.
